Kansas, Kansas St, and Texas will all win down there and that's why we'll finish behind all of them in the standings.

It's the Hoiberg special, win a huge game in Ames then turn around 3 days later and lose to a bad team in front of a half full arena. It's why Kansas always wins the league and we finish 11-7 or 12-6 in our good years.

That trend is hard to deny.

Awful game but not a reason to overreact. Basically down 2 starters on the road and one of the most one-sided called games in a while and still were in it at the end. Guys played hard and I think will rebound Tuesday. Hopefully Grill is feeling somewhat better.

Have you ever been on a basketball court? The backboard doesn’t sit on the endline, it overhangs the court by 4 feet.

I agree with others who have said it was basket interference. The call was made by the official at half court almost immediately after the ball went into the air.

I would say that the D was good and Okie St. made really good cross court / skip passes. That is what we were trying to force, they took the bait and made us pay. Some of them did nto have good rotation, but others they made with us flying at them after a skip pass. That is hard to guard.

Or the obvious goaltend? Or Anderson just diving to the ground for a fouls call. Or the foul differential WHICH THEY NEVER COMMENTED ON ONCE!

Fran is only good thing that ESPN has going for it.

Go back in literally every game thread and you’ll see people like you blaming the refs. It gets tiresome. Make FTs, don’t go stagnant on offense, don’t lighten up for 12 mins on defense and we win by 10+. Refs weren’t good but neither were we.

Refs were fine vs Kansas. They sucked balls today and those who can’t see it you are deluding themselves.

It happens often (not always) on the road in college basketball. Accept it, discuss it, but don’t deny the obvious.

3 fouls on ok st in first half was ludicrous. They were playing with contact on d and ISU created a lot of legal contact as the far more aggressive offensive team. Refs swallowed whistle for one team and it’s just as much a reason for final result as choking on our fts.

I think ISUs offense has always been a Grill, Gabe, Holmes, Osun or Tamin injury away from being pretty bad. We need them all. Granted, OSU is a damn good defensive team.

Blown opportunity that should’ve been a W, but just had a combo of bad shooting performances plus Grill being out.

Unfortunately it looked like off the OU game OSU had a let down and came out flat. Kind of handled us once they woke up.

I believe coming in OSU had the #6 defense. We were #5. Not surprising it was a 2 point defensive struggle.

One thing I don't understand is that we were told before the season by Chris that Tamin wasn't supposed to shoot 3's. It wasn't going to be allowed because he's not a good shooter. I'm not sure if that has changed, but he hasn't shot many 3's. So why is Big Rob allowed to continue shooting? The poor kid can't make a god damned shot. I certainly think he has a role to play on this team and deserves to get minutes, but why can't he pass the ball out of the post?

I am thinking basket interference? Would make since when he pulled the rim down with the ball on it. But not 100% sure.

Maybe my eyes are bad or it hit something in the rafters but that makes more sense based on what limited info we got.

A lot of drama queens on here ignoring the fact that just about every objective measure had this game as a toss up.

Did they have it that way when we were up 16?

In England, a lot of ultras who have previously been in trouble for their behavior at matches have to report to their local police station every time the club they support has a match. We need a version of that on here for some people who shouldn't be allowed to use the internet during a game.

He’s the only other player besides Lipsey you want dribbling. Gabe and Grill will get their pocket picked frequently if the ball sticks with them.

No one, but Big Rob continuing to shoot layups and miss them is an ongoing trend. It's just weird that one is allowed/encouraged and the other was banned.
