Big Bear.
Always got my winter coat and snow boots there as a grade-schooler. They never quite lasted the winter though. My dad would duct tape the elbows of the coat and I’d use bread bags in the boots to get by. Those were the days.

Sub sandwich place in my hometown Parkersburg growing up called Falcon’s Nest. To this day still the best subs I’ve ever had. Unfortunately after a few passes of ownership, it turned into a stupid candle/craft store

Behind you
Also Pamida, dont know if they are still around.
Running joke in our family growing up was when we were younger kids and driving up to Manchester, IA, and heading into town we saw the Pamida store and my older brother said "oh look, PAM-i-da" pronouncing it completely wrong, since it was pronounced "puh-MY-da". Random memory, but fun.

Does anybody else remember the CD shop in the back of the building on Welch that is next to Theta Chi fraternity? Back when the music came in the long boxes, '91-92. I don't think it was a chain, but my wife and I were talking about it recently. We went in there a lot to kill time and listen to new things.

Alladin's Castle Arcade. Looks like the last location closed mid 2022. Spent many days there as a child on no school days when my dad would take us to work He'd take us to a movie and the arcade in the mall. At the time if you put $20 in the token machine you'd get $30 in tokens. That would last a long time. Pretty sure we still have 100s of those tokens somewhere.

The one in the mall in mason city only lasted a few years after the ps2 and Xbox came out why go to an arcade when you can play the games at home.

I remember pretty vividly my dad would keep track when the new tekken arcade games would be there. It was a big deal when they got taken 3. Huge deal when tekken tag was released.
