Some it can be hard to judge based on the style of music they're known for. What cashes a check doesn't always showcase the vocal talents to their highest degree.

Someone like Miley Cyrus comes to mind as well. She might not be on a top 10 list, and none of her pop stuff is anything spectacular, but there's a recording of her doing Jolene that is fantastic

Linda Ronstadt must be mentioned. Her voice has great power and clarity. She is highly versatile and has done pop, jazz, latin, and even some 40's retro.
