Might be right about that one too. Have to see how Jamie Dixon’s team finishes the year. It seems like his teams have faded at the end.
The thing is TCU would easily be in if they played in another conference. KState is likely a bubble team in another conference. The reason they don’t look as good right now is the losses have to go somewhere.

The problem both of those teams will run into on selection Sunday is their non-conf resumes are really weak.

I think it's likely they would need to get to 8-10, while teams like Oklahoma, West Virginia could still get in at 7-11 and Iowa State at 6-12.

Was thinking....when was the last time free throws were a strength for ISU?

Hoiberg's senior season?

Eustachy and Floyd teams dominated in the FT dept. also Fred’s team were good. They didn’t shoot that many but they didn’t give the other teams many either. Just depends on how you measure it. Going straight % doesn’t tell the entire story.

True, and the NET rankings still have some flaws. In looking this morning, I couldn’t figure out how a team like Iowa is 8 spots higher with their resume. Guess that TCU loss probably dropped us some.

Last year was a school record (.783), and was the first time above 75% since 1995.

2020 (.746) and 2002 (.748) were close.

I wouldn't have known this I was so disappointed in last yrs team, I didn't realize there a bright spot no matter how small.

Man, almost blew it at the end there but a win is a win. And this was a big win to get back the TCU loss. Now just need to build off that. Get the win against Mizzou and back to back wins might give them some confidence going into the KU game.
