As for YOU TWO (looking at you, @VeloClone and @Ms3r4ISU )...
The taco car is NOT a winter friendly car (although it IS the only vehicle we have with heated seats...). The chair we're using is a small transport chair that fits nicely in the trunk of the Malibu. Only bad thing is that I am currently riding in the back seat so that I can stretch my leg out.

No one is dragging ANYONE behind the taco car. Hmph.

I used friendly because there isn't a disappointed emoji. That would be a sight to see. :D

Not sure what we will do. We donate above our level now with seats the group below. Son graduating may mean he might want a ticket. So I could be going back up another ticket next year. That would be a large increase overall to so that.
We're sitting one tier below in football currently because of our move to the west side. I needed seats that weren't very far up the top or down the lower deck as stairs without handrails are not a good thing for me. I'm going to keep trying to adjust our seats each year to see if I can get back toward the middle again.
As for basketball, hell - we're still in the non-donor seats we've been in ever since Jamie made them season ticket seats back in the early to mid 2000's. Haven't wanted to move because we really liked the people that sat around us. However, the ones behind are no longer there, and the ones in front rarely come any more since the wife passed two years ago. So other than tradition, not much keeping us there any more. I'd like to move down to the corner directly below our seating (the lower deck corner above the band and to the right (when facing the court). If they allow us to pick our seats like they do in football, great. But the last time I asked about that section, I was told that at our donor level we would most likely end up near the top on one side or the other. I am SO OVER stairs...

We had no one around us. There was a good sized group about 3 rows up. Every free throw it sounded like some chick was getting choked or stabbed with her noise sound.

Ah! That's probably Ms. "REBOUND"! She shouts that after nearly every shot. You really want to ask her "don't you think they KNOW they're supposed to rebound?"

Also, not surprising that it was kind of empty. A lot of the folks up in the corners travel a good long ways for the games, and bad weather keeps them away. I think maybe they stick with the cheap seats so that they don't feel like they lost a week's wages if they miss a game or three.

One guy (former extension dude that I worked with frequently) & his wife come from Spencer (and that's a long drive considering there's no diagonal road from there to central Iowa). Before he retired, they would frequently miss midweek games if there was a chance of bad weather. That's an even longer drive home in bad weather, and then you have to get up & go to work in the morning...

Think I need a Sherpa guide the time I sat up behind you all.

Z and I opened up the ISU classes today.
Our plan for her to do class on the computer didn't quite work in class 1, because she was enthralled by the clicker, and gave everyone a couple previews of our intro, making comments all the way.
So, when it was time to start, I said, "All right, let's roll" and Z said (from the slide) "Welcome to HIST 221, course introductions." She held court the rest of the way, and we tag-teamed the intro lecture. For a moment, I wasn't sure what kid this was.

In class 2, a wifi problem kept her from connecting, so she read a Goosebumps book while we classed. After we crossed campus for the 3rd class, she was wiped, returned to hold court, and her stomach turned at the very end of class.

When we got home, she pulled out a loose tooth, relaxed, had a huge lunch, and we rounded up the stuff to make sure she can do class there next week. All in all, not a bad day. I think everybody or nearly everybody enjoyed their 8 year old prof.

Four long sleeved layers up top.

Three layers on bottom.

Can confirm.

It's cold.
