I only saw one UNLV game late last year - once our HC position was open - and I have no idea how Grill was listed in the scorebook for that game, but at no time did he function as the PG of the team. He played a lot and hustled his butt off, but he did almost zero ball-handling or initiating on O. I see no chance that he plays that role at ISU either, but I do expect him to play a lot.

The one UNLV game I watched last year Grill was drilling 3s like he was Steph Curry. I'm sure that didn't last, but I was excited to see him have some success. I think he will play a significant roll on this team and it may not always show up in the scorebook.

Jackson getting a lot of disrespect in here. I will state the obvious and say that Jackson will be a senior upper classmen on the 21-22 season and will certainly be in any PG rotation ahead of Lipsey and King at the start of the season unless he ultimately proves that he can't play PG this year as competition ramps up. If that happens to be the case, he will play the 2 interchangeably with Grill next year ahead of any of the youngsters in the rotation. And please, for those dissing his defense, please stop. Just because he played on bad Prohm teams doesn't mean he can't play defense. I think he is one of the better ones we've got on that side of the ball.

With how great Hunter looks. I bet we are going to see some much bigger transfer names visiting Ames in the near future.

A stud PG is your best recruitment tool!

Or if he is to
Good and bails to the NBA we could get a transfer based on every point guard we have ends up in the league. Kind of like our running backs in football

New Eli King highlights! I can’t wait to watch him in the Cyclone uniform. It will be interesting to see if they add one more in the spring to this already solid class.

Hunter, Lipsey and King will have our backcourt locked down for the next 5 years. So excited where this program is heading!

I need to get to one of Lipsey's games in the metro. He's already lead Ames to #1 and got two top 10 wins this season

People are going to hate, and I mean hate, getting dunked on by a college kid with those power alleys. Think of a smaller and way more explosive Eric Piatkowski.

From what I know about them, Eli and Tamin will fit in perfect with what this group is doing. Unselfish, hard workers, strong on defense and good athletes.
I think that's the same with Watson. 6'7 ish with 7'0 wingspan, good athlete, supposedly a good shooter. Struggles a bit with creation from the rumblings this summer but could be a wing/stretch 4 that is a prototypical 3 and D guy.

You are 100% correct. Tamin and King are bulldogs on defense with plus athleticism. Watson has the making for a PERFECT 3 and D player. He could switch 1-5 and excels as a spot up shooter.

Watson was asked to be a shot creator this summer and team wasn't great... But Hunter and Lipsey getting into the paint and kicking out to a open Watson will be awesome to watch

Didn’t see this posted yet. It is from three weeks ago. Shows King’s hops in practice and an interview. This kid is going to be special.

Had no idea Eli King's team was playing an Iowa school tonight, looks like they beat Aplington Parkersburg at Luther College.

Here is a 13 minute highlight of the game. Hope we get a shot at Watsons four star teammate in the 2023 class. Love Watsons 3 and D game along with his athleticism.

Athleticism, yes......but boy is he in for a rude awakening when he will be asked to play Otz's defense compared to this high school game. Makes you appreciate Tyrese Hunter's coach even more with how he's been able to play decent D.
