I’m on the band wagon. Time for a change.

Was Brock on the field during that play?
Nope... which is why it just seemed weird. Put Dekkers in... okay... I guess? But running a trick play when it already would seem a trick play was coming... I don't know why we thought they wouldn't think something weird was about to happen

I thought he was a lot better the first two drives. But there are some situations where he really pulls out some head scratchers that really put us behind the chains. The fade to Shaw on 3rd down late in the 4th was awful. Several others…he is getting zero help from the o line right now too, but I would also say he puts them in really bad spots a lot. Lot of times we are running breece off tackle with 8 guys in the box and it cant be blocked.

The offense just isn’t a cohesive unit and really hasn’t been for a long time.

I'd think that having 2 Qb's on the field at the same time would be more suspicious that just bringing in Deckers to replace Purdy.

Yeah, I mean it gives the d the idea of a double pass. So running the wr option pass back to the qb would really surprise them.

Is Manning the OL coach?
The OL coach played OL at Toledo and then was a graduate assistant at Toledo before coming to ISU with Campbell; no prior coordinator-level coaching experience. I guess he was either supposed to figure out how to coach a P5 OL by himself, or somebody else on the staff who knew something about coaching OL was supposed to mentor him. Now, in Campbell's sixth season, ISU has a veteran offensive line that often looks dysfunctional. Time to try a different approach. It doesn't look to me like the staff presently has the expertise to improve this unit.

For reference, Baylor ran for nearly 300 yards again OU last week; ISU had 51 today...

For better or for worse, it is hard to see Campbell making those cuts. Loyalty is really important to him.

I don't know where you get this. He dumped the strength staff. I don't think he is firing or demoting anyone before the season is over, but I'm not sure why we think he won't do anything.

Although we didn't do poorly offensively, it always seems we have a couple of series or plays that really kills us and sets us behind the 8-ball.
1. Second quarter. Had a golden opportunity to go up by three at halftime. Why is Purdy going into a deep drop and rolling out to his left? That one play was a 10-point swing and won the game for OU.
2. Fourth quarter down by seven with a chance to tie the game. Breece needs to have the ball in his hands, at least once. Instead, we put the burden on Purdy and have a three and out. That was a killer.

I'm just going on what I hear him saying in press conferences and radio interviews and such.

I don't expect him to do anything immediately. I'm not a fan of mid-season firings. But I would be surprised if major changes are made after the season.
