They didn’t even have him spread out? Wow. That’s bad.
Nope... which is why it just seemed weird. Put Dekkers in... okay... I guess? But running a trick play when it already would seem a trick play was coming... I don't know why we thought they wouldn't think something weird was about to happenWas Brock on the field during that play?
Correct he went to the sideline.
My guess is they didn't want to put Brock in a position where he was getting blown up catching a pass.
no he’s the tight ends coach
That part makes sense, but you have to at least leave him on the field, right?
I'd think that having 2 Qb's on the field at the same time would be more suspicious that just bringing in Deckers to replace Purdy.
The OL coach played OL at Toledo and then was a graduate assistant at Toledo before coming to ISU with Campbell; no prior coordinator-level coaching experience. I guess he was either supposed to figure out how to coach a P5 OL by himself, or somebody else on the staff who knew something about coaching OL was supposed to mentor him. Now, in Campbell's sixth season, ISU has a veteran offensive line that often looks dysfunctional. Time to try a different approach. It doesn't look to me like the staff presently has the expertise to improve this unit.Is Manning the OL coach?
For better or for worse, it is hard to see Campbell making those cuts. Loyalty is really important to him.The OL coach played OL at Toledo and then was a graduate assistant at Toledo before coming to ISU with Campbell; no prior coordinator-level coaching experience. For reference, Baylor ran for nearly 300 yards again OU last week; ISU had 51 today...
It was to former coaches as well... look what it got them... and our fans. For better or for worse, it is hard to see Campbell making those cuts. Loyalty is really important to him.

I don't know where you get this. He dumped the strength staff. I don't think he is firing or demoting anyone before the season is over, but I'm not sure why we think he won't do anything.
