Georges' squad takes the easy W at Denver, in a somewhat surprising result without Embiid in action. Similar numbers by the two old friends.

Starter Georges: 35 MIN, 11 PT, 4-8 FG, 3-8 3PT, 5 REB, 3 AST, 1 BLK, and 2 TO. That was Georges' 12th career start.

Monte: 32 MIN, 11 PT, 5-13 FG, 1-3 3PT, 3 REB, 4 AST, 2 STL and 1 TO. Monte started out 1-6 from the field so he heated up a bit in the 2nd half.

Georges sort of had an assist to Monte at one point. I think he was trying to keep a bad pass in and threw it to Monte.

Once in a while, we have a night in which several Cyclones are in action and there is some remarkable offensive production to report. Last night was NOT one of those nights; our guys didn't burn up the nets.

After 3 strong games after returning from an injury, THT went 0-6 from the field and scored 2 points in 27 minutes. He started in LeBron's return but I suspect adjusting to sharing the ball with LeBron was a factor.

Monte started but the Bulls beat the Nuggets, who were missing Jokic. Morris had 6 points on 3-10 shooting in just 28 minutes. He did dish out 5 assists against no turnovers. So far this season, Tae is hitting just 28% from 3PT. DNP-CD for Matt in that one.

Nader went scoreless in 8 minutes including 2 missed free throws though the Suns picked up the W over the Mavs.

And the Kings lost a blow-out game to Toronto. Haliburton started and scored 8 on 3-5 shooting. Strangely, he had no assists in the game.

At Portland last night, Georges got what I believe was his 13th career regular season start and put up respectable numbers in a loss. Embiid and Danny Green are both still out. I plan to check out the game via my VCR but it seems like Georges is still showing his value in the NBA through these opportunities. His line: 35 MIN, 15 PT, 6-13 FG, 3-6 3PT, 4 REB, 2 AST, 1 BLK, and 5 PF.

Quick release on a 3-pointer coming off a slip screen - high degree of difficulty:

Nice spin move (and ISU mention!)

In the afternoon, Georges was tweeting about the OU-ISU football game.

Tyrese continues to start and the Kings continue to struggle, this time losing to the tough Utah Jazz. 'Rese's line: 37 MIN, 17 PT, 7-13 FG, 2-5 3PT, 1-2 FT, 2 REB, 2 AST, 4 STL, and 2 TO.

As tough of an alley oop as you'll ever see:

The kid has always had a great personality:

18 points for Ronnie Harris' kid.

Huge Lakers comeback in the 4th from this deficit to beat Detroit and THT was in the thick of it (partially because LeBron got ejected)

THT started off cold but hit a couple shots down the stretch for LA, including a driving layup to push the Lakers' lead to 3 with 1:19 left. He also had a layup blocked with about 6 seconds left to give the Pistons a chance. Talen didn't start for the first time this year but ended with this line: 33 MIN, 8 PT, 4-13, 0-2 3PT, 6 REB, 3 AST, 1 STL and 2 TO.

DNP for Garza.

After giving up 48 (!!) points in the first quarter to the Suns, the Nuggets were never in the game. Jokic is still out with a wrist injury and Malone played his bench extra minutes to rest his starters. Still waiting for Monte to have a hot stretch to get his shooting numbers up. His line: 23 MIN, 10 PT, 3-8 FG, 2-4 3PT, 1 REB, 3 AST and no TO.

Nader
didn't play for Phoenix and is nursing a knee injury of some sort.

DNP again for Matt in the Bulls' win over the Knicks.

Two Cyclones did indeed start last night in the Philadelphia - Sacramento game, Georges for Philly and his "little brother" Tyrese under interim coach Alvin Gentry. Neither will skyrocket in the PER rankings with their numbers from this one. Sacramento was ahead after the first, stayed competitive until the 4th when the Sixers outscored them 25-12. The Sixers were missing Embiid, Green, Curry, Harris and Ben what's-his-name and still got the W without their starting line-up, essentially, 102-94.

Tyrese's line: 33 MIN, 0 PT, 0-5 FG, 0-3 3PT, 4 REB, 9 AST, 1 STL and 1 TO.

Georges' line: 39 MIN, 12 PT, 4-13 FG, 2-9 3PT, 5 REB, 2 AST and 1 TO.

I would guess that's the most minutes Georges has played in a non-OT game in his career. I remember a playoff game that went to OT that he got a lot of PT in.

A big Cyclone making an ugly runner over a Little Cyclone:
