Wow, what a line for Purdy: 27-33 , 307 yards, 2 TDs, no Ints. I know there were some frustrating and confusing play calls, but gotta' give Manning some credit for putting together a game plan that enabled Purdy, Hutch and (somewhat) Kolar to have huge games in spite of our Oline getting owned much of the game. OSU's defense is physical and legit. I'd take them to win Bedlam and go to the Big 12 title game.

Defense really locked down in the 2nd half per usual. Loved the hitting, physicality and gap discipline that held Warren to a "meh" day running the ball. Isheem Young could knock the fillings out of your teeth. Gotta' clean up some deep coverages but also have to tip your cap to OSU for making some freak plays in the end zone. Hope Rose is OK.

Can't complain too much about special teams. Nice to see Okie State lose the game on two missed field goals, a remarkable inverse of last year's game.

Overall, Cyclones were just a bit more physical when it mattered and that tilted the game in our favor.
Manning was just good enough. We won. That means a lot. We still have room for improvement in play calling. I still think we need to play with our pants on fire, be unpredictable.

That is when we are best. Coaches know (hopefully) how best to balance things. I am happy we won a hard fought game. The Defense was great the last two possessions!

Play of the game was actually two plays. When Will got two sacks I knew this game was in the bank. Purdy was fire today.

Haha I didn't think the game was in the bank but it definitely helped.

Purdy wasn't crazy but he played within himself which is when he's at his best.

I don't recall anything forced out of him.

The Defense won the game that the Offense was trying to lose. Special teams was bad as usual. OSu fked up on one of those returns , picked up a kickoff going out of bounds , instead of getting 35 got the 23 :D

You mean the offense that drove 83 yards right after Ok State scored to take the lead? That offense was trying to lose?

I cannot believe people complaining about the play calling today. Their front seven plus some at times was forcing us to pass. Check out the box score. Maybe wrong but six different receivers caught balls. That is a well coached defense that decided that Kolar and Hall was not going to beat them by themselves. Until you have called games, you have no idea of how hard it is. You can call a great play and the defense does something that puts them in a great position. Have you ever watched our defense in the second half!!!!!! Give it a rest and enjoy the win. That was an amazingly well called game by our OC.

Offense played well. They did just enough against an excellent Cowboy Defense where nothing was easy. I thought the score would be 27-24 ISU, that was my prediction. Only 3 points less than prediction. And Okie State was better than I thought they would be on D. No complaints.

Both Offense and Defense did their thing today. Yes, the Offense can still be better which is encouraging.

And we finally got the Home win against Okie State for this group of seniors! When it counted I might add!

There is something we have going on, it appears the staff wants us to be a power running team so badly that we will just bang that zone read or direct hand off up the middle over and over even when it doesn't work.

Seems like at halftime there was something of an adjustment, realizing that we need to spread the field more, and it worked. That crossing route catch by Milton feels like it's been missing all season.

Wish the adjustment could come sooner, but we won, so can't complain too much!
