Not related, but I asked a Minnesotan how Duluth could be better than the Gophers, and he said that Minnesota gets most of the best players in the state but they all go pro before they get the skill/chemistry of other schools. Not sure how true that is.

Some guys that commit to MN don’t even get that far before they go to Juniors in Canada or they go to the USHL and get drafted straight from there then go to the farm.

Wweee we we will give you everything, all the money everything we got baby if you just dont leave us. Jesus, cut the cord.
Shes been sleepin with your neighbor for years and gave you STDs and you still want to beg her to stay. My god. Wake up and kick her to the curb.

If we do this and and be allow Bowlsby to do it, we deserve what we get.

I don't like that. Not worth it. That's what led us to where we are. That isn't a conference. At some point, it won't be good enough, and they'll leave (or at least UT will). Pull off the Band-Aid and let's move forward.

Yeah, it might be time we stop kissing rings.

Huh? If anything I think that is a good thing. Shows they are serious about expanding in lieu of being content with 14 for now. Go get Iowa State, Kansas, Okie State and Colorado to get to 18.
They are not going to take 4 Big Xii teams. Okalhoma State being in the mix (new footprint state) is not a good thing for ISU @ B1G.

Highly doubt they will take it anyways. This seems more like a symbolic gesture so the leftovers can say they tried everything to save the conference. It's about more than profit sharing. What good does it do to say you will share more of the profits when you don't even know what that's going to be when the next tv contracts are negotiated?

I wonder if all of this was more or less foretold after the Big 12 explored adding more teams and walked away with nothing a couple of years ago. I wonder if they reached out to some more “marquee names” in addition to Cincy and Houston and we’re told “no thanks”. This solidified OU and Texa$’s belief that the Big 12 was second rate and beneath them.

Probably the only good thing that will come of this is Texa$ will implode or poison the $EC like their last two conferences.

Whoa - Wisconsin and Minnesota were by far the best teams in the Big Ten this year - the Gophers were ranked #1 in the country for part of it. They won the Big Ten tournament and were the #2 overall seed in the national tournament. Got upset in the second round. Maybe Duluth plays better nationally when it really matters. But in the Big Ten, only Wisconsin was better.
I'd say there's plenty of skill and chemistry in the Gopher hockey program...

It’s time ISU finally turns away from the painted lips, lifted skirt and perfumed inner thigh of Texas for a healthier, more stable relationship.

Kind of blows the idea that the Big 10 is looking for more rivalry games away.
Well it seams everyone has a tweet these days, how much any of these really have weight none of us know. Read most of these guys columns on the subject and you cans tell they are basically clueless. So taking their tweets as gospel is pretty dumb.

Most of these guys have little more knowledge than the rest of us, and it is obvious some of them have less.

I don’t even look at college hockey like this. I only look at the draft for program hierarchy. College football is going to look a lot more like college hockey pretty soon. Farm clubs.
