Will be interesting to see if any others (*cough* Iowa State *cough*) follow suit.

Correction: "This decision was based on $$$$$$."

Eh, he's not wrong that it's what fans want. Setting aside whatever bump ticket sales get this year thanks to pent-up demand after Covid, the overall trend for ticket sales at live sporting events isn't great. Athletic departments are going to have to do more to get butts in seats, and alcohol sales is a pretty basic amenity.

It's coming to ISU, it's just a question of when.

I'm sure that making students walk an extra 25 yards will really keep everything under control. Yet another brainf@rt by Barta. I'm guessing the $8-$10 per beer price tag will keep the student consumption in check more than location of the sales.

Next they will install condom machines in the bathroom stalls.

I know the logistics of adding beer sales to the general public are daunting. And I know JP likes to sell it as a perk of being a big donor in the EZ club.

Let's just let Iowa **** it up real bad, and we can learn from their inevitable mistakes.

Nope they hope to breed more moronic Hawk fans.

The drunk level probably won’t change much. Last time in JTS, a bunch of them stood behind our top row seats and left a trail of empty bottles they had brought in. I guess CSC got outbid this year so not sure if new security will clamp down on that more or not.

Not gonna throw stones because it will happen at more schools, maybe even here at some point.

There are obviously pros and cons.
