I don't get the angst that the sky is falling we haven't announced anything yet. Other openings were announced today, but that doesn't mean squat about us getting the coach we need. Several prospects are playing games this weekend and none of them are accepting a new job this week. It is like a bunch of whiny spoiled kids on here. Your not the AD for a reason. All you idiots posting JP needs to go if he doesn't do it my way seem to have forgotten who hired Campbell, who extended him and created a culture he wanted to be at. JP also had the foresight to keep Fennelly when have you clowns (used that word intentionally cause I don't consider you clones) wanted him fired.

Again, I just don’t think time is of the extreme essence.

TJ has likely talked to his assistants. Transfers will likely wait until schools are finished playing to make decisions.
He likely has talked hypotheticals. Until he’s hired things can only go so far. And recruiting is about building relationships.
There are reasons not to announce, simply being too busy or “not in person” are not on that list.

The Heartland website has nothing mentioning Prohm's firing, looked Heartland Twitter feed and couldn't find anything either, only some guy named austin mentioning on Twitter that Prohm was gone. Where is the source of this info? Links?

Wait, are you actually saying you want TJ? Or that he already has been offered the job? If so, sheesh. Way to lower expectations.

Well we are going to hire TJ by not focusing on his time at UNLV....

That is not true at all. TJ had a winning record in his first year. TJ brought in 6 transfers that first year. Most important was
Elijah Mitrou-Long. So much for the myth that TJ won with someone else’s players that first year. This last year was a losing record. UNLV had a terrible start at 1-6 including losses to Alabama and North Carolina. Which also included a win over Kansas State. Otzelberger caught Covid-19 in December during the basketball season.

I am sure that Otzelberger’s entire record will be looked at. The fact that he has been on staff as an Assistant at P5 Schools for about 10 years including a stint as Associate Head Coach under Fred. The fact that Otzelberger has been a Head Coach at 2 different Mid-Majors for the last 5 seasons. With winning records all 3 years at South Dakota including 2 NCAA bids and a couple Conference Tourney’s but a disappointing 3rd year finish in the Conference Tourney after winning the regular season title that year.

10 years as a P5 Assistant. 5 years as a Mid Major Head Coach with some success. All done by the age of 43 years. And he is known for being a great recruiter. I see TJ as a viable candidate. Along with many others. Really don’t understand the complete hatred of TJ. Remembering back to how extremely important we thought it was that TJ come back for Prohm’s first year. Probably a very good thing we did that.

The day ISU lost to UAB I also walked out to find my car with a dent from someone backing into it.

They left a note which was good but just the thought of going through the process of insurance and repair/rental appointments put me over the edge and I think I hit my passenger seat similarly, haha.
