Is it a talent issue or roster construction? I haven’t seen enough of 2 of the freshman to have an opinion, but it seems like everyone is talented enough, we just have a roster full of 2 guards in point-guard frames, three 5s, and no 4s (again). Am I overestimating the talent?
I think you are overestimating the talent. I think there was enough talent to win a couple games in conference but still it is bottom of the conference talent.

For clarification purposes, are you saying we are last in talent or in the bottom part of the conference in talent? I agree with the latter but not the former.

I am saying we are in the bottom of the conference in terms of talent with the other two bad teams, KSU and TCU. Difference between us and them this year was coaching.

Solomons career high in rebounds is only 12?
LOL wow.
I wouldn't look to far into him only having 12 rebounds as a career high. The team gave up so many high percentage shots that there wasn't a chance for defensive rebounds. We just can't play defense.

We hear this after every hiring but if it’s going to work it usually only takes one down year like with Eustacy, Fred and CMC .
I agree you can usually tell if a coach is going to work out or not after 1-2 seasons. There are exceptions though. Scott Drew didn't have a winning season until year 5. Finished 11th or 12th in the conference his first 4 years. There are a lot of places that would have fired him after 3-4 years. Kudos to Baylor for trusting him as it's paid off big time. Obviously it doesn't always work out like that, though.

Drew also walked into some... um... circumstances that made the program he took over highly unique. Agree with your overall sentiment, though.

If I had to guess what really was the turning point was the 2019 recruiting class. Do think Prohm got too confident that more of the 2018 class was going to stay longer so he could take risks in the next class, most notably Leech, but we all know how that ended up. I think Prohm got caught with his hand in the cookie jar looking to for developmental projects. That doesn’t work though if your good recruits leave along with your developmental ones

Talent is absolutely part of it and probably the major part. But I keep going back to assistants? Is anyone on staff besides Robinson that Prohm didn't have ties to with Murray? There is so much to dissect. I don't think the fallout is because of the players that left early for talent... it's because of ALL the other players that left early. He didn't have any 4 year players besides Solo! We had zero consistency. Is it because they didn't have the talent? Is it because relationships were bad? I don't know...a lot going through my mind today.

I think it’s fairly simple. The good recruits were too good to stay for 4 years. And the other ones were too bad. And this is his 6th year, so it’s only those first two classes where anyone could have stayed for 4 years.

The first three classes you mean.

I don't agree that Solo is athletic. Partly because of injuries, but he's never been a quick jumper or quick laterally and definitely not a rim-runner. And he's not really that big for a pure post.

I respect the hell out of him for sticking with this. He'll be successful in his future endeavors.

Solo’s freshman year he showed a lot of athleticism. After his injuries he’s been completely different.
