Full disclosure, not a sports better here and sometimes am annoyed at how it's so a part of the sports discussions on the radio, etc (but get that if folks are doing it, there is a market to talk about it)
Anyway, saw this:

I've been thinking about this after hearing some talk on the radio about Pete Rose and why he did the "ultimate" baseball sin of betting on baseball.
The article states they didn't bet and NFL guys can't, but i could see how this could be a slippery slope with the prop bets and other things and could potentially influence performance in some way.
Tangentially, heard an interesting discussion about player bonuses and how the spirit of them are sometimes abused on the last day of the season. You hear a player getting a play or two to get their yard count for the year....if in garbage time or whatever, seems like takes away the whole reason those are in contracts. LOL I digress.
What i'm getting at...i could see how with more public discussion about these things (prop bets, etc) the creep into the players heads or those in the know could impact how the game is played.
