This is a terrible take. He didn't have his best day but we're not anywhere near where we are without that kid.

I've never said we wouldn't be where we're at without Purdy. But he was consistently bad today, and that along with horrible special teams cost us our only Big 12 Championship ever.... period. Those are the facts.

Horrible special teams and 3 INT's lost us the game. Pretty simple. Brock is a great QB.... but just HAS to learn you can't always make a play when there's absolutely nothing there. He did that multiple times today.

Brock gets us to a certain point but you have to start wondering if his arm strength and decision making limitations set a ceiling for us. I’m wondering the same about Tom Manning and how our offense plays in big games.

Lol, moral victories are for losers. That was some of most inept time management ive ever, then we have lineman who csnt stay set. Its absolutely hilarious that some of you think Purdy just threw up a hail Mary there. It was a busted play because that idiot up in the booth couldn't get a play called in on game.

Just so typical Iowa State.

Do you even understand what you're saying here, and what this "certain point" is? jfc.

Well decision making improves with experience and being in this situation bodes well for next year.

That's why this is so painful. We honestly were even with them and possibly the better squad. But you can't play as crappy as we did in the 1st Half against OU. And you just can't make some of the mistakes we made all game. This one hurts bad.

One thing I can say with 100% confidence is that today we were not better. Lincoln Riley almost pulled a Mensa to lose that game.

In true Cyclone fashion they gave us hope and then ripped it away. Still, hard to feel too bad about what this season has been. Glad we came back and showed some fight

Its also what got us there to begin with. Wouldnt trade it for anything.

I can't believe this ******* thread. We played like crap. That sucks, but it happens. We had a shot to win, but couldn't quite do it. Oklahoma is good. We are good. This doesn't ruin the season or negate anything that happened during the season.

Don't get me wrong on calling out Purdy for his decision-making on this drive. Manning was incompetent for most of the day. Really bad play calling in the first half got us into a hole we couldn't dig ourselves out of.

Imo revering back to the pocket put Purdy back in his mode where he goes for broke instead of just letting him do what he does best.

The last three weeks, he extends that out further and hits Kohlar and Hall for at least a 20-some yard gain if not a score.

Instead, punting with the arm.

MAYBE by his senior year they'll acknowledge that he's not a pocket passer and doesn't throw a good long ball and it's best to tell him to just find the open guy on the wide side.

That's not a rip on Purdy. He's a gamer, but he's best at what works for him.
