JP really seems to always be on top of these situations. He knows every year that we have success that teams will be coming after CMC. So I'm not concerned that he hasn't already thought this over and possibly has even met with CMC to see what it will take to keep him here..... and if we can even offer him what it would take to keep him here?

JP can't completely bankrupt ISU to keep CMC here.

And nobody could blame CMC if he left either IMO. I think he could easily make the case that he's accomplished what he set out to do here..... get to the Big 12 Championship game. He may have said "win a championship", but that could very well happen this year.

Fact of the matter is.... if CMC wants to be here... he'll be here. We can't afford to pay him what Michigan can.... but if CMC likes it at ISU, his wife and kids like Ames, and he likes a more laid back place where winning 10+ games every year isn't expected.... he will stay. Money will not be an issue IMO. JP can offer him enough to keep him VERY wealthy, especially living in the middle of Iowa.

Well.... that's a really good start then.

I think for Matt it will come down to challenging himself more than it ever would be about the money. Restoring Michigan back to its glory might be really tempting as a challenge. A bunch of headaches come along with the Michigan job though that you don't have to deal with at ISU.

If CMC were to leave though..... who would you like to see come here that we can actually get? JP has mentioned before that he always has "a list" in his desk of potential candidates. I mentioned earlier that the Coastal Carolina coaching staff would be really high on my list at the moment.

I would wager though that CMC stays here.

I heard the Fawkeyes are funding this.

Straight from Big Blue themselves. They had asked me what ISU could pay, I stated what difference does it make.

No way he can leave after that caption on a video. I’m not sure if an extension is going to come soon because I don’t envision Campbell even engaging in that conversation.

I think last time JP basically had one already then after the season ended it was done shortly afterwards before the speculation could get too carried away. Hoping for the same this go around.

Rumor mill in UM-ville is saying Harbaugh will get a 3-year extension. They are used to having their coaching target locked in privately before pulling the plug.

Not sure that UM is really a better job at this point. With tOSU humming, it'll be very difficult to build that program with being second for recruits in the area. And that fanbase isn't going to tolerate a long building process.

Obviously, they can throw a lot of money at him that ISU can't. But I just don't see UM being a path to national success that their supporters do. Texas seems like a significantly better job right now.

Dude.
If your pen*s is that small that you have to be saying you have direct big blue info (on a message board) then kiss off. I think your mom just called you for leftovers.

Sitting in a zoom mtg Friday afternoon. Just passing on statements.
Leftovers aren’t so bad ... my moms poor health does not allow her to cook. Soooo...feed your ego yourself.
