Way up there
Looked pretty rusty, Harris was as expected IMO, he's going to be good. Johnson looked to be forcing things a little but he passes and handles the ball well, may just not bring much scoring, he's longer but less athletic than I was picturing. Dubar plays much bigger than he is, he and Johnson are a nice pair at the stretch 4. Was nice to get to see all the frosh, love the length that we brought in.

Sloooow start (1st game against a team that had already played two and a zone defense to boot), but we got it going eventually.

Love Dubar. He has a nose for the ball and is active. Could be the best rebounder we've had in a while. Harris and Coleman-Lands looked solid. Foster looks long. Can't wait to see how he develops. Walker looked comfortable out there too.

Me? So people putting me down all the time means I'm the bad one? Got it.

I question things in life..... always have. I don't just blindly drink the kool-aid. I call it like I see it. So that offends people that only want to hear positive things about ISU all the time.

Sorry, I'm not going to change on that.... that's not who I am. I will praise the good things and question the bad things. If that makes people want to criticize me and put me down.... that's on them.

I wish I could have watched today's game. Sounds like we played a lot better the 2nd half thankfully, and we've definitely got some talent. I think we still have a lot of work to do to get on the "bubble", but I think we're capable of it.

On to the next game!

I dunno man, if sports cause you to question things in life, you might want to consider re-evaluating things a bit.

Remember when we were kind of sad we didn’t get Jacob Toppin as a transfer and he went to Kentucky? Yeah he barely played today and Kentucky got whipped by Richmond

Did Walker do much the 2nd half? I knew he scored 5 straight in the 1st half, but hadn't heard his name much on the radio in the 2nd half.

I'm excited about him. Prohm probably talked him up the most of anyone at media day.
Unfortunately, not really. He only got in for a couple/few mins in 2H, and took a couple shots. I believe both were blocked though. His limited time in the 1H were good though.

Watching the highlights--it looks so weird without the student section bleachers behind the baskets.

You can tell the new guys are more athletic and the best most effective players should play as long as they're doing the other things right (grades, practice habits, etc.).

So I'll assume that happens around early-mid February.

I mean they had 3 transfers and 4 freshman that played. Did you expect anything different the 1st game?
I certainly expected them to be rusty, but to be down at half to one of the worst teams in the country is a red flag. Hopefully that's just more of a product of knocking off the rust than the talent level.

You call it like you see it, but you didn't actually see the game and question Fosters potential before he even logged a minute. Doesn't seem like you wait to see anything, you just fire away.

Wut in the actual h*ll? I don't even understand where you're getting that statement from? I give up.

You took my post as me saying that sports causes me to question things in life? I don't get at all how anyone could come up with that from what I posted? Whatevs. Enjoy the rest of your day!

It's one game against a bad opponent, but I keep wanting to gush over Dubar. Only had 2 points, but played hard, was a pest on defense, and fought for rebounds, especially on offense. Also has a nice build for a freshman.

I'm excited for all 4 of our freshmen class, but DD stood out.

You have to look at the source of that info though..... Steve Prohm. Not sure he knows what he's talking about.
Do you ever get tired of being so negative all the time? Why even come on here at all especially since you were sure there would be no season anyway. That after being completely wrong about the football season as well. I will defend Prohm until he gives me a reason not to, which, being down early in the first game of the season is not a reason.
