I actually think all the ones you have committed now will sign

Hard to say really. I think most are solid, but they all seem solid until they aren't. Probably good for Iowa they loaded up on the in state talent and also kids from surrounding border states. Always have less decommits from the kids close to home it seems.

Johnson would be the one I think. Bruce would be too if he had options but nobody wants him

If I was an Iowa fan, I would be embarrassed that they are ranked. Tell the world you are ranked 24th in the CFP with 3 wins against teams that have a combined 3-11 record. Let that sink in.

I thought they had a chance, but I certainly wasn't for sure either way like you seemed to be.
The 3 teams the Hoks have beat this year have a combined 3-11 record. The remaining teams on their schedule are 5-7. A little bit tougher but not a strong challenge. Your Hoks have a real good chance to stay in the ratings. B1G West is a gauntlet.

Oh lets say like any other team at all that actually has some actual football tradition. I mean a few completely average years and one good year doesn't change a teams football tradition.
You can't change the past but you can build for the future. A few "average" years and a good year are terrific ways to start building a new tradition for years to come. Do you really think recruits coming out of high school give a rats a** about how good ISU was in the past? Heck no, they care about how good we are now.

He's right actually. Iowa's 3 wins come against teams with only 3 wins combined.

MSU: 1-3
Minnesota: 2-3
Penn State: 0-5

When ISU was 3-2 the 3 wins were against teams that were a combined 4-8 vs P5 teams at that time. OU was 2-2 vs P5 teams. TCU was 1-3, Tech was 1-3 vs P5.

After that 3-2 start with wins over teams with a combined 4 wins, ISU has wins over Kansas 0-7, Baylor 1-5 and 4-4 K-State. If Iowa beats Nebraska that is a better win than beating Kansas. If Iowa beats Illinois that is a better win than beating Baylor and if Iowa beats Wisconsin, that is way better than beating K-State without half it's players.

Kirk Ferentz winning percentage at Iowa...........609
Matt Campbell winning percentage at ISU..........542

Certainly you weren't using Iowa as the mark when it come to talking "tradition"?
