Penalties not looking great so far

Penalties are the best defense TTU has so far. Just got to get focused.

Agreed. I understand if he was trying a 50 yarder, but it should never be that low when kicking from the 2 yard line.

Maybe its time for coach to hire a full time special teams coach... either that or we should spend a lot more time practicing every aspect of special teams, including substitutions.

We definitely need a dedicated special teams guy. We've had how many punts/kicks blocked and returned for touchdowns the last few years?

Agree with you but ... a thought: If we had a dedicated special teams coach, he could be thinnking that over and working on it as soon as the injury happens. Make sure all the PAT squad is on the same page, even the backups.

This possession will be critical. If they can get a quick stop and score again, TTU might fold up. If they go down and score, it is going to be a dog fight.

Crazy how that series worked out. Another dumb procedure penalty takes a TD off the board, then we can't punch it in, then a defender uses his teammates to propel himself into the air which is a penalty, and the blocked FG falls directly to a TTech player.
