I had a dream last night that I bought a case of bananas.
We were at the In-law's last weekend, and Wifeypoo and Mema (her mom) went grocery shopping. When they got back and started unloading, Mema says"You'd better take most of those bananas home with you. We don't eat very many around here." Wife says, "I didn't get any bananas." Mema, "Well I didn't either!"
Apparently they belonged to the person behind them in line.

So the fam decided to do a retro Christmas card.

I haven't cut my hair in 6 months and I now have a man's mustache that Magnum hisself would envy

This seems like a very bad idea
After 5 months without a haircut I ordered clippers from Amazon and cut it off myself. Haven't shaved in over a week. Will have to get the trimmer out to hack all that stubble off.

My brother-in-law's wife is a house mom for a frat on campus. Takes her 5 year old and 3 year old with her everyday. A kid tested positive for COVID late last week, with full blown symptoms and everything. Was around everyone including my niece and nephew and her. Everyone at the frat was told to quarantine, including them. My brother-in-law was included on that quarantine because he was also around them.

So what do they do this weekend? Go over to my father-in-law and mother-in-law's house to hang out, fully knowing they are supposed to be in quarantine. My FIL and MIL are in their 70's and they both have underlying conditions. My BIL and his wife said its fine "because we don't feel sick or anything".

Needless to say, after the AC going out last weekend and now this weekend, my wife is NOT happy right now.

Disliked, cause why would you even do that? We struggled with my wife's parents going anywhere and everywhere during these last months, at least until her dad died. We just couldn't get them to understand what a risk they were taking.

Well that was a weekend.

MrsWx's cousin got married on Saturday. Our kids were the ring bearer and flower girl which was quite the experience. Being Benton county many Busch Lattes were enjoyed by the natives. This also lead to the best man breaking his ankle 12-14 hours before the wedding. LilMissWx absolutely LOVED dancing. MrsWx's effort to get me to move to a small town took a hit as nearly every single one of them spent the entire evening smoking and drinking.

I don't want to make this political but the news sources my in-laws use have caused this. It just infuriates me.

3 out of 4 Musketeers have given your in-laws the official thumbs down. I'm guessing @cycloneG would add a fourth thumb of condemnation. I'm also biting my tongue (typing fingers?) to avoid anything overtly political. Your wife has more reasons than normal to NOT be happy it seems. Hopefully the return of AC mitigated the unhappiness a bit.

The return of the AC helped but then this going down yesterday definitely didn't help. She's frustrated and hoping for the best. I definitely have to watch what I say because I have thoughts on the situation, but it's not my family.

I was going to comment that the inlaws bear some of that burden. We told our kids no (except for outside and distanced, and they haven't even been exposed. If your inlaws don't protect themselves, your wife's anger should be directed at them as well, IMO.

Are there pics of LilMissWx dancing? :D

I decided that subscribing to "A.Word.A.Day" was not fulfilling my word-nerd brain, so be prepared for words from Word Genius. Like this one for today: You'll see why "Gadzooks" is worthy of sharing here. https://www.wordgenius.com/ @KC
I love the word, but wouldn't dare use it for fear they might institutionalize me. ;)

BTW, if you're going to "at" me, you have to use the entire stupid name!

Your contributions to our erudition have me thinking of the old Readers' Digest column "It Pays to Increase Your Word Power".
