These kinds of comments always make me shake my head in dismay. Snyder was in his late 70's and had a losing season when he 'retired.' Klieman took his kids to a third-place tie, 8-4, and a bowl game. You really don't understand, nor should you. I don't claim to understand ISU either. So, we draw on that point.
I never said Klieman wouldn't be good there. I just said K-State had some terrific seasons and it may be a long time before their program is back to where Snyder had it.

No.... Devil in the White City
I enjoyed it, but I enjoy history. Not just the dates of battles, etc. history, but social and cultural history. History texts don't generally get to the bottom of what things were like for the common man. Devil in the White City gives a taste of that for the period in Chicago and around the World's Fair.

KSU will take a step back this year. I see them in the bottom half.

I think OU is on top, in their own tier.

ISU, OSU and Texas are in the next tier.

Baylor, KSU and TCU are in the third tier.

Texas Tech and West Virginia in the 4th tier.

KU all along at the bottom.

If I had to pick an order, it would be:

1. OU
2. OSU
3. Texas
4. ISU
5. Baylor
6. TCU
7. KSU
8. Tech
9. WVU
10. KU

Seriously? Tyler Lockett, Darren Sproles, Joshua Youngblood, David Allen - you kidding me with that kind of trash, or have you just turned 20? I remember an oSu poster a few years back comparing teams to cars and K-State was a Cuda. Draw your own comparisons if you wish.

I literally just spit my water out laughing LMAO. No one has EVER said that about kansas state. EVER HAHAHAHAHA. It's honestly even funnier that you bring up PLAYERS that may have been fast (Lockett for sure was, Youngblood was a freshmen last year so again, lol, he didn't impress me) but just cause you have a fast player doesn't mean your team is fast. Those players you listed didn't even play on the same teams!
Locket - 11-14
Sproles - 01-04
Youngblood - 19-now
David Allen - 96-99

Under your logic, Iowa State is like a Ferrari because we have Kene Nwangwu. What a stupid post lol.

It’s easy.

Kleiman had a first KSU team loaded with experience.

Wont be the case this year, and is why most think they’ll be 6th or 7th in the Big 12.

Back in May, I did a game-by-game for Big 12, based on team schedules. I won’t post full results here, for brevity’s sake. Here’s my rank, conference games only. Tiebreaks based on head-to-head.

Oklahoma 8-1
Texas 7-2
Oklahoma State 6-3
Iowa State 6-3
Baylor 5-4
Kansas State 4-5
TCU 3-6
Texas Tech 3-6
West Virginia 2-7
Kansas 1-8

Edit: I threw in a couple of curveballs in the game-by-game for nuance.

I would have guessed that all ISU fans would have been impressed with Youngblood. At least others were:

"True freshman receiver Josh Youngblood earned spots on a pair of All-America teams this week: CBS Sports named him a second-team performer at kick returner while he garnered a first-team freshman All-American at the spot by The Athletic. Youngblood also was part of the Associated Press’ All-Big 12 teams, picking up a first-team all-purpose honor Friday." The Mercury

Find one scenario that fits your narrative then ride that train into the ground.

Nice to see you back to true form, surly.

LOL. The best K-State lineman was all-conference, Josh Rivas. And he'll be one of the best in the country this year. Guys coming off a redshirt and transfers are going to be studs. Last year's line was good due to experience and scheme, not talent. None were drafted. The scheme returns. Klieman's a hell of a coach.

https://themercury.com/k_state_spor...cle_fc3fad2c-b6e6-5d38-bd50-ed86e2cd38b2.html

Wait, how does KSU lose 5 starters, yet returns an all conference OL? Was he out most of the year or something?

I personally see it like this:

1. OU - Will be a little down from where they've been, but still good. Not a playoff team.
2T. OSU - Just too much talent on offense and an improved defense.
2T. ISU - A lot of experience, a top QB and a healthy defense.
4. UT - Elingher will win them some games, but they will miss their good WRs.
5. KSU - Will be a tough out, but missing some skill position talent.
6. TCU - Duggan will improve and Patterson is a good coach.
7. Baylor - I think that they'll take a decent step back. No Mims to pull game making catches and Brewer will get knocked out.
8. WV - They're on the right track.
9. TT - Still a ways off.
10. KU - More competitive, but lack talent on defense and QB.

Any casual observer knows that Youngblood is dangerous (and fast) as hell. I almost fell out of my chair when ISU kicked directly to him to start last fall’s game. Someone in the chain of command (coaches and kicker) had rocks in their head to kick to him.
