No one got assaulted though did they? Got any arrest from this incident. Oh that's right there wasn't any

Didn't you know that in this country you're guilty until proven innocent? That's how Barta operates evidentally.

At least twice now he's made baseless accusations against ISU nationally without anything whatsoever to back it up.... only to find out that ISU was not negligent in any way whatsoever.

Personally I think JP should have went after Barta for false accusations and tarnishing ISU's image nationally without any justification whatsoever. I think he would have won that case.

It made ISU look terrible.... and of course it didn't make national news and didn't scroll across the bottom of the screen on ESPN when it was discovered that nothing actually happened and it was just Iowa's AD trying to make ISU look bad again. It did scroll across the screen when Barta made the baseless accusation though.

It’s pretty pathetic, really. Iowa State fans can’t stand that the face of college basketball plays for Iowa, so they try to dig up dirt on his dad from 20+ years ago to try to take attention away from Luka.
Agree, very pathetic....but keep in mind the voices of clone nation are Pollard and Register Randy. So it does kind of make sense.

Now you are making crap up. At first Barta said something might have happen we will investigate. Well the pissed off band members who claimed they were assaulted. When that starting coming out and the band members forced his hand, Barta did what he had to do and take a stronger stance on this.

You guys are so funny on this whole thing. Of course Barta had to do that, he had band members telling him they had been assaulted (one had broken ribs), what was he supposed to do, say nothing about it?

Barta had to go public nationally before finding out any facts at all? Interesting take.

Why couldn't Barta just tell the band that he's talking with Pollard and they are looking into the incident to find out what they can. Pollard was more than willing to look into it.

But no... just go national with the accusation before finding out any facts at all. I mean, what college student would make up stuff against their rivals, right? o_O

Does this really need to be explained?

If any Iowa fans are defending Frank Garza, you are a disgrace.

If any ISU fans are using Frank's past to try and discredit Luka, you are a disgrace.

Good lord you are dense. When you have a band member with physical injuries, and another member talking about inappropriate being touched, you have to put out a statement. It isn't Barta's fault that instantly Pollard worried more about optics and defending ISU than actually getting to the bottom of what happened.

So if nobody gets arrested, no assault took place? That is just dumb logic.

So if an ISU band member comes out tomorrow and says they were assaulted in Kinnick... you would just believe them right.... and assume they must have been assaulted if they said so.... right?

I'm sure some ISU band members have been assaulted in Kinnick before.... but it's hard to come forward if you have nothing to prove it happened. It would just be a he said, she said thing.

But Barta takes that and runs with it nationally. It made the news, and scrolled across the bottom on ESPN all day. It tarnished ISU's image big time.... and Barta had absolutely NOTHING to go on.

Just like the locker room theft Barta went nationally with. Only to find out after gathering the facts that it was an Iowa fan that broke into Iowa's locker room.... and it was the same private security company that Barta hires to protect their locker rooms in Kinnick too.... it wasn't ISU's security in any way shape or form. Barta is an amateur, and has proven so. Look at the millions he's cost Iowa in discrimination lawsuits over the years.
