Will the Iowa State Fair happen this year?

I voted no, but i could see this happening. To 90% of fairgoers, that essentially means 'no fair' though. Attendance would probably be miniscule.
No reason to be upset, it is only Fair. Now if they were cancelling the Good or Great, I would be disappointed.
If that's the case, you could still have a bastardized version of the fair to accommodate that.
With Oregon canceling all festivities, athletic events with fans, etc, I’m predicting no State Fair.
I think it will with mods (like so many other things) and the worst will be CONSTANT shaming/opinions on every event/decesion.

I've been really thinking about that moving forward....what I will be willing to do/not do as we reopen....and also the long-term societal changes...no office candy dishes, birthday candles, etc. Lol

In the last couple days there have been a lot of racing events scheduled starting next Saturday night (the day after the current restrictions end). I know a lot of the promoters have been in constant contact with the Governor's office and they wouldn't be scheduling these high purse races if they didn't know they were going to be allowed to have fans in attendance.
Have they had anything like scheduled tune up runs, where you get a chance to go out on the track and check the car on an actual track? Could probably limit things to a couple cars at a time to hold the 10 person limit. I know a track in the local area, was going to dump a load of money into their track to get back to what it was and fix the infield they said. First year promoter, could be a mess for him.

Also 100,000 deaths over a year's time with less technology and information sounds a bit different than 100,000 in 3 months in 2020.
