Not exactly sure.
It's Win 7. From what I gathered they had like 40 of us they were trying to upgrade. IDK, not like it was a surprise that it was going to stop being supported by Microsoft soon.

I wonder if I was on the VPN when I tried last week, this morning it wouldn't let me logon to the VPN at all.

Wow, there is actually businesses out there running Windows 7? Isn't that like 6-7 years old? I figured that most had moved to 10. My part time boss made the switch already and he is a dinosaur and is a one 1/2 person show.

It's almost 11 years old.

Very productive yard work weekend. Hopefully finished with winter clean up, put fertizilier and crabgrass preventer down, put down 10 bags of mulch, built a raised garden bed and started filling that. Of course the kids now think that is something to play in so the chicken wire that needs to go up may end up being for both rabbits and the kids.

Videoconference planned with students today. Woke up to Internet outage.
Working now, but I'll be wondering the whole time if another one is pending.
Well, it is Monday. Good luck!

So you can log into your laptop but not the VPN?

Man Karate Kid III is just really bad.

II was at least still good and you cared about the characters.

I was playing catcher for our company slow-pitch softball team. Our left fielder had a gun for an arm, and threw to home plate as an opposing player was rounding 3rd. The ball one hopped to me, but with the spin he put on the ball, the trajectory was lower than I expected, and it came to eat. It hit me square -- thought my whole package got ripped off. The ump was this old black gentleman. He looks at me and says, "You can go ahead and grab em, son."
I'm sorry - I HAD to mark funny on this one. More for what the ump said than what happened to you.

My initial thought was to mark this "Funny" (which it is now, anyway), but then I changed my mind and marked it "Friendly" instead. I would guess most of us have a cojones story to share.

Milo is home again. They found bacteria in the lymph nodes by his spleen & intestines, but they still don't know the source of the infection. They sent a couple of aspirated samples to Texas A&M Vet school for some additional diagnostics. Right now he's on antibiotics, an anti-nausea med, an appetite stimulant, and a prophylactic dewormer (just in case...). Half a pill and three droppers of about 1.2 ml each, once a day. By the time we got to the third dropper he was PISSED. But hey...having him feeling up to fighting back, and seeing him eating & drinking is a HUGE improvement. He's got some weight to put back on before he's at full strength, though!

I don't have a personal one, but I do have a funny one from back in the days of going to wrestling meets. One of my sons' teammates did a roll-out move and somehow came down the back of his opponent's calf, landing square on the guy's heel. He was right at the edge of the mat, legs spread, grabbing the boys...and the cheerleaders were directly in front of him. I'll never forget the look on his face...or theirs!!

@Cyclones_R_GR8, I checked out that doc series "Dont' F**k With Cats". The subject matter was pretty horrible, but it was pretty fascinating to watch those would-be detectives identify and find the little $hit who did the dirty work.

I broke my rule of arguing with people I don't know on FB.

I think I've spent too much time inside as of late.

FB debates being seen by every day people like co-workers and friends can create some super awkward face to face interactions.

The individual is a friend of one of the guys I know from high school. He was dropping incredibly bad info (5G Cellular disrupts hemoglobin) which is right in my wheelhouse from grad school.

I....I...couldn't help myself.

I don't argue politics on Facebook, but I will go all in when it comes to bad science in my area of expertise.
