I wonder if part of that is not wanting to leave kids home alone and spouse doesn't want to stay with them. Or it's their only time out of the house for a while? Trying to think positively about some of this.

Madison had one of the very first confirmed cases in the US.

is that the one back in early Feb.? That was travel related IIRC but I suppose there could have been contact with others before that was caught. I didn't think we had any additional for a few weeks there.

Yeah this is all true I believe, but the confirmed cases have really shot up in numbers over the last week or two.

And Dane county (Madison) has had some of the higher numbers...makes you wonder how many have had it. We need antibody tests.

That's at least less than yesterday...but I don't know how often they're updating the case reports. You'd think more reports would come in during the day.
Yeah, I've learned not to get too optimistic or pessimistic based off of one day's numbers.

Italy's the barometer for that, for sure. Only positive there is they didn't go from 800-1000 deaths in a day and jump up to 2,000 reported...yet.

This is a good point. Italy looked like they had turned the corner about 10 days ago then blew up again.

Will be interesting to see NY's numbers today after new ICU admissions were down in the 175 range vs. 370's the day before.

I figured it was for midnight to midnight the day before. I honestly don't know, but do agree that it is once a day.
My wife has been told that they cut off the stats at 6:00 PM, and then present the numbers the next day. She is our city clerk, and gets her info. from the state.

Not exactly sure.
People hospitalized went up 5. Recovered went up a couple so that is a decent trend also. Still plenty of spaces at local hospitals, not sure how others are.

I don’t remember which poster said this, but they said the days are based on the Greenwich Mean Time worldwide. It’s midnight in Greenwich when it is 6pm in Iowa.
