More data. More recommendations from the CDC and other experts. Basically we haven't flattened the curve yet. And when all of these morons that think this is fake and don't act on the recommendations of experts - we get forced/told what to do.
Is it irony when someone complains about people complaining too much?
She took her time, and made the right decision. We're taking all the reasonable, necessary steps to prevent the spread of this virus without enacting some kind of doomsday scenario.
I think she saw the writing on that wall that not enough people were going to voluntarily obey recommendations, and took action early in the week before anything got worse. Lots of bars and restaurants aren't open on Monday in the first place.

I think she could have made that call 18 hours ago. But I’m glad she got there in the end.
I mean, I guess, but I think the odds that of a bunch of people in Iowa hitting bars and restaurants and spreading this yesterday were pretty low.
I know a ton of places that were already voluntarily switching to off-premise consumption only as it were. I think everyone knew this was coming.

Been monitoring the wild protein in the hood. Wild turkey, deer, gray squirrels, mallards, geese, and feral cats (Chinese stir fry). Red squirrels and chipmonks as last resort species. Would have to walk a couple blocks to the park for the geese since geese like to hang out in the park and **** all over everything but all the others could be taken in my yard.
Those geese that just stand there on the path and hiss are going to be sorry about their lifestyle habits.

Im donating to PBS because their kids show lineup keeps my kid entertained for hours.
I just said good bye to my friends that live out of town. Not sure when I'll see any of them again. I added a "see you on the other side" at the end of my text, but that could have several meanings/implications. Open to interpretation, I guess.
I don't think the decision is that simple and should be made as a last resort - forcing business to close means some of these won't reopen because they won't last with 0 revenues.
