Got half drunk drinking New Zealand sparking sauvignon blanc watching two episodes of Kingdom and than the move William Kelly's War. Was feeling pretty good than opened up laptop and got reminded of how ****** everything seems to be. Now sorta bummed.

Well. Went to Hy-Vee yesterday to get a few things (no, we don't need any TP, at least not yet) and was stunned. Every register - there are 12 - was busy, with lines. People with carts overflowing with stuff. One guy had at least 15 of those 6-packs of pop, in 20 ounce bottles. Can someone say diabetic?

I just can't believe what cattle some people are. For the life of me, I cannot understand the paranoia about not being able to buy toilet paper.....this isn't even a gastric type of disease!

We had a few less faces in church yesterday, but still a better turnout than I anticipated. I actually think us older codgers are less apprehensive about the whole deal. (And we could get proved wrong, I know.)

I watched ESPN quite a bit yesterday, they were playing various games from past Big XII MBB tournaments. Of course the 2015 final against (****)KU was my favorite.

I have some games on DVD that I watch on occasion. Two of my favorites are the 20 point comeback against Oklahoma and the big beatdown against Nosepicker and his Jaywalkers, where Matt Thomas steals the ball and dunks it near the end. Take that, Bill Selfish!!!!

Great weekend topped off with a flight around CR with my dad and LittleWx. After a rough few weeks of working out I am looking forward to getting in a good week of work at the gym.

Two questions. What is DNY? Is Kingdom the Japanese version of Walking Dead?

No, I'm not going all apocalypse Lawman on you guys, but this quote has always moved me.

Let us all strive to make decisions grounded in love, compassion, hope, and logic. Be well, my friends.

Well spoken, Athos. And in a similar vein, I always find Paul's words in Romans 12 to be excellent guiding principles:

"Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."

Thought going walkabout in adjacent Teddy Wirth Park would be okay. Maybe not. Ran into neighbors with their dog that wanted to talk...tried to keep back. Later in the park there were peeps everywhere. Guess I'll suspend walkabouts on weekends, weekdays might be okay. If felt like coughing at some of the peeps to remind them to keep back some.

At least I knew they were coming. Even in the woods people are so ******* loud I can hear them coming from over 100 yards away. They all are talking to each other like they are all hard of hearing. Seriously this one group of four was like a good 150 feet away and I could hear exactly what they were talking about. Every damn word. I've been calling it the "The invasion of the loud people" for a few years now. I don't get it.

My daughter is one of those "loud people." She can be literally 6 inches from somebody and talking so loudly it seems she's yelling at them, but it's her normal volume. It drives me crazy.

Batman and Robin with Clooney from 1997 is on.

It might just be a hidden gem for guilty pleasures. Just ridiculous and every scene is actors trying to force themselves through a sea of terrible.

Or just wait a couple more days and the gym will be closed.

Not going to the gym is likely to be a very tough change for me, way worse than just hangin' around the crib. Just can't justify if though.

I'm planning on doing pushups, core stuff and online yoga. I've got an exercise ball I could probably put to use as well. Hopefully get out for some bike rides.

Also MrsWx has been nagging me about getting another dog but I am a hard pass on that one right now. Yesterday she took LilMissWx to PetSmart to pick out a toy and collar for the current dog. She found a little bunny bit instead of giving it to the dog she claimed it as her own and has been carrying it around everywhere and slept with it last night.

Snowing here, not bike weather yet. I can probably go walkabout though, not likely to be peeps out at Teddy Wirth today especially if it's snowing and gloomy as **** out on a Monday.

I walked yesterday on a trail...everyone was walking on opposite sides of the trail. Likely for good reason but if this thing is that contagious, breathing shouldn't be allowed.
