What could possibly be the issue that he gets an opportunity to at Auburn, demonstrates he's earned more minutes only to be relagated to coming in for Jackson when he's in foul trouble? We know what we're getting from Nixon, Jackson, and Grill. It's time for Lewis to get a stretch of 20ish minutes per game to see if he can sustain it. If he did something in practice this week, allude to it in the presser with a vacuous platitudes (Prohm has plenty of them). For someone who always preaches doing things the right way, it sure doesn't seem like he's handling this situation as such.

Jackson was out vs Auburn which is why he played

But then what's the lesson in all this? If TLew is in the doghouse, what goes does it do to play him when he's needed?

If my kids get in trouble and lose electronics, but I give them back to them because I need a little peace and quiet, there is zero chance they learn from that.

I mean what's the difference between not playing at all or playing two minutes. Both won't make Lewis happy

I can see this from both sides. On one hand, us fans want to know what's going on within the program and the little details and stuff. But, if there actually is a good reason why Prohm isn't playing Lewis, which I have to assume there is, then Coach Prohm being transparent about that reason might not be what's best for the team or Lewis himself. There could be so many reasons why Lewis didn't receive playing time against Baylor.

I highly highly doubt Coach Prohm isn't playing Lewis for no reason at all.

Why wouldn't it? Would the explanation be unsatisfactory?
Because if Prohm tells everyone why Lewis isn't playing it's going to cause a negative reaction either way. If it's being late to practice people would say, "well we suck anyway so play him", or "well then kick him off the team". If it's because he doesn't run the offense and defense correctly, people would say, "well everyone else doesn't seem to be doing it well either" or "maybe you shouldn't have recruited him then".

Prohm's in a lose lose situation here and would rather take the entire blame than throw his guy under the bus and allow people on the outside to justify the reasoning behind Prohm's decision / talk negatively about Lewis himself.

The fact is Lewis has obviously earned more playing time. And the way Prohm handled it when asked about it in the presser, was quite frankly pretty lame.

That would be my only criticism towards this situation. I don't need Prohm to give me a detailed explanation, but his one worded answer was probably not the best way to answer that question.

And although I agree Lewis's play against Auburn was good, we don't know what happened the next few days. What if Lewis said something to Coach Prohm sarcastically after that game about his playing time? I'm not saying Lewis did but that wouldn't sit well with a coach.. Or what if Lewis wasn't running the offense or defense that they scouted Baylor for? Sure we didn't run it well ourselves but if Lewis was running it completely wrong or doing his own thing, simply playing him wouldn't be the best thing for the team overall. Each game is different.
