Surprised ISU didn't get him, but it doesn't mean he will not sign later. I wonder if CMC is after anyone for the late period. Is there going to be anyone left in the late period to grab? I can see how someone that was thinking they could get a better offer might wait until there was less guys to choose from.
He has until Saturday to sign in the early period and sounds like there's still a chance he signs.
I think he's talented enough that there will be a spot for him no matter what, but I'd guess ISU tries to use that scholarship on a grad transfer OL if he goes elsewhere.

Regarding T.J. Tampa, it is not all that uncommon for a commit not to sign on Wednesday. Shoot, 247 has a story about a commit not wanting to sign with LSU just yet. Every young man has to do what he feels comfortable with and go to a school where he is sure he wants to be there.

Obviously we would all like to see him at Jack Trice Stadium in a Cyclone uniform playing with one of the best QBs in the country and for a highly-regarded coaching staff. But until he signs, we just give him his space and the time he needs until it feels right to do whatever he decides to do. Like all these recruits say, "Please respect my decision."

Awesome news he was the player i was most excited about. Abosulely awesome athlete that makes highlight reel plays. I hope his consistancy is there as well with making the simple catchs which hard to figure out unless you watch a lot film. Hopefully they don't to play him, because I feel like he would be very good after redshirting him.

I am on the same page as you. Other guys maybe play earlier but T.J. has the highest ceiling in this whole class.

It seems if the ceiling is that high he will probably be going pro at some point. For skill positions I think we are just as well to have them play as much as possible as soon as possible (if they are good enough).

Who out of the freshmen in the class do you think will NOT redshirt next year? I assume the jucos are coming to play, not redshirt.

If i would have to guess seeing trends there will a D back, a linebacker (though playing mostly on ST), and maybe wide reciever burn their redshirts. Probably not many players burning their redshirts this year, because so many starters are returning and line position players typically redshirt. Singleton and the long snapper have a good chance to burn redshirt as well.

Hathcock snapping for Assalley should draw some pleased snorts of amusemnt from some here who don’t concern themselves with actual pronunciations.

Otherwise, the nine early enrollees have the best shot. Especially considering that all three safeties are among them.

Didn’t there used to be a rule you could only have three early enrollees?
