According to Alex Halsted, Georgia made a late push. Pretty cool holding off Georgia for a recruit from Florida

What an advantage to be able to swoop in at the last second and actually get serious attention from a recruit just because of your name and reputation. However, even if CMC could, I just don't see that as his style. He seems to actually prefer to take the time to develop a relationship and know who he is getting and make sure the recruit gets all the information he needs. I'm fine with that.

Interesting, I like his dad being honest, speaks well of the kid and the family staying with his commitment, wouldn’t blame him for flipping to Georgia either.

247Sports has apparently completed their final ratings for 2020 players. We ended up as the #44 composite class, but #39 per 247Sports ratings. I remember just a few years ago you could count on about one hand the number of P5 teams ranked below us in recruiting. This year there are 21 below us in the composite, 26 below us according to 247's analysis.

Even more impressive I think is that we have proven to be quite competitive with the teams ranked ahead of us: 1 point loss to Oklahoma, 1 point loss to Iowa, 2 point win over Texas, 25 point win over TCU, 24 point win over WVU, loss to OSU last year but beat them the year before.

So I think it is fair to conclude we are moving up inch by inch in the recruiting ratings, but our on-field results are moving up at an even greater rate. By recruiting classes, we should still be in the bottom half of the conference, but in the standings, we are in the top half. A lot to like!

Well, their player rankings are finalized, but the team composites are not, with the Late Cyning period about to begin next week. It would help on that front if we could reel in someone like Art Green..,pretty please!

4 days to Cyning Day and Art Green is still uncommitted and there are NO Crystal Balls for him. (pick Cyclones) He obviously wants to surprise somebody on Cyning Day. (pick Cyclones) Good for him! Do it your own style, I like that. (pick Cyclones) With the three teams he is "warm" to, if any of those three teams gets him, their coaches and fans will be ecstatic! (pick Cyclones) Surefire starter wherever he goes (Ames, Iowa). Well, fingers crossed!
