Do you think these Tetris nerds crowd around the one guy who’s actually talked to a girl and treat him like he’s some kind of god?

KState style win. We are not going to outshoot anyone from 3 this year, so we are lucky to have 3 good forwards to take care of rebounds and help with 2 point scoring.

Nobody takes you seriously, and nor should they.

This time his nonsense made a little bit of sense. This team will have to grind out wins with their defense. Defense, rebounding, etc. was how we won by 10 tonight despite 40% shooting

If this team gets 9 conference wins, it means that the conference is WAY DOWN this year. Everyone needs to take the rose-colored glasses off, it's a rebuilding year. NIT or bust.
It has nothing to do with rose-colored glasses, or really even how one feels about the team.
You don’t trade being assured 9 P5 wins for 1 P5 win. And 9 wins in the Big 12, even if down, gives you a great chance to make the tournament.

This is going to be an interesting year. I think they have a chance to be a hell of a team by years end and potentially a lot more ugly wins than this program has had in the last 15 years. They also have the potential to never really develop a scoring punch and languish in the bottom quarter of the Big 12. I'm hoping that they can cobble together enough wins to make the tournament and then put together a run. Just to be clear, those are not my expectations, they are my hopes.

Anyone saying NIT is the best that we can do this year is not being realistic, they are being pessimistic. Is the NIT possible? Of course. Is likely? Maybe.

I'm a Cyclone fan, so I'm excited to see how the team develops. We have some very strong pieces on the team this year. If they get fit together right we could be really tough to score on, and almost impossible to beat on a good shooting night.

Really good resume win tonight. Need another one on Thursday and then I think you can start to believe NCAA is highly probable. Big 12 is down. Don’t kill me for that CyTwins by my eyes tell me there is Kansas, Baylor and maybe Tech if Ramsey gets healthy. Nobody else has impressed that much although I think Oklahoma State, us and West Virginia have the ability to make an appearance as a top 8 seed if things break right. TCU and KSU are both absolute trash. Oklahoma got ran out of the gym by Stanford and Texas (despite winning at Purdue) looks like a bubble/play-in squad.

Conditt needs to play as much as possible. Interested to see his +/- for the game.

Nixon had his standard game: 2/7 with good D.

Need to start getting more from the bench besides George.

Griffin kind of seems like Lewis 2.0.

Conditt played 19 minutes tonight and he was grabbing shorts pretty often. Once he gets in top game shape he will be good for 20+ every night.

I think part of the ugliness, on both sides, was that we played each other so recently. Was like an NBA series. In this game we seemed to reverse the outcome by rebounding better. Hoping as these guys get to know each other better the offense improves.
