Throwback to me watching us miss an extra point after much cheering when we tied Nebraska 23-23 at old Clyde Williams in 1972. Forgotten in the anguish was that the Huskers also missed an extra point or our missed extra would have lost us the game.

This is a ******** team, isn’t it? Good enough but missing out on every real opportunity. I’d be ******* pissed as hell at myself if I had 12 games to play and I’d been on a team that had lost these four.
The thing is that there is really no penalty for interfering on a 2 point conversion. Motley mugged him, he did it on purpose. One of 3 things can happen: Petway catches the pass through the interference, Motley gets called for interfering and they put the ball on the 1 instead of the 2 and ISU has to earn it again, or the ref swallows his whistle because he doesn't want to effect to game by making a critical call.
He did play the entire game, essentially with one arm. Just wondered if CMC commented on his status going forward.
Finally got over the game, not sure what the take has been on here but I can guess there are two camps.
I am trying to feel bad about that game and other than it shows as an L on the record, I can't.
That may be one of the most entertaining ISU FB games I have ever watched. We fell short but the big difference is we fell short playing at the highest level of CFB. Quite a bit different than missing a FG to with the Big XII North or failing to hang on against KSU.
I love that this team can get to these big moments. They will win their share, won't be all of them - no one wins all of them at this level.
