He also forced a bad throw that resulted in an interception.
I watched that quarterback throw and honestly questioned if he was truly throwing the ball with his dominant arm.

Rutgers quarterbacks combined for 9-26 and 49 yards lol. Iowa would've had a more competitive scrimmage that day.

Hmm... regression by an athlete from EIU? Seems like Fran must have taken over Espenesa's player development program.

Look, credit to Iowa for coming into Ames on a weird day and winning by a thread. But you're not really throwing too much shade by saying you're one point and a game better than Iowa State lol. There's a good chance after this weekend Iowa State is receiving more votes than Iowa.

Yeah, iowa thrives on mistakes. That's how they beat us and how they beat any good team. If PSU limits mistakes, they are good enough to win by 2 TDs. If they put the ball up for grabs, then it will be a close game that iowa can win. Gotta play patient and keep big mistakes to a minimum against them. Michigan dialed up the blitz, but they also didn't get impatient on offense giving iowa short fields.

AJE...for sure he's getting chipped and schemed for. He's a hell of a player, but he's not good enough to routinely overcome that and their staff for some reason isn't willing to move him around for better opportunities. That and the rest of their DL isn't good enough to take advantage of people scheming to stop one guy.
They do create the environment for mistakes. They are never flash they are very consistent.

Since it was @ISU the Hawks are about 4 pts better.

I’ll take the more votes bet.

Some people were wondering if Epenesa would be able to do what he did last year while playing the entire game and so far he has yet to prove he can. If the season were to end today, it would be unlikely he'd be drafted where he was projected at the beginning of the year. The good thing for him is that there's still half the season left.
Same was said about Purdy. Interesting that I had not made that connection yet.

Oh there's already been conversations from some Iowa fans on here still saying Purdy isn't that great.

Actually it is....
No it's not. You play the game where the game is listed. If Iowa State would've won by 1 point you don't take away 3 points because it was at Jack Trice Stadium. If that's how things worked, you would never play at home fields and you would only play on neutral sites.

Home field advantage is worth about 3 pts according to most handicappers
