Don't do the 'Yeah Big 12!' thing because I don't care for many Big 12 teams and would want someone like KU or Baylor to get smoked in that instance, and also living in B1G country it's annoying when their fans act like their team is somehow being represented.

But I like Beard and how he coaches and how his teams respond to coaching.

Culver's just straight up a stud.

Culver is a rare dude. NBA 1st round talent that never seems like he is playing to impress the scouts. He was really struggling last night yet he never really forced anything and in the end took over. Plus his defensive effort against Winston was excellent. He might have moved up the draft board by showing he could guard a high level point guard. The Virginia game is going to be a rock fight. Good luck Tech.

Good luck KillBilly!! Go Tech!!! Always been my second team in the conference, and cheer for them when not playing ISU. Love Leach, and loved Kliff.

Speaking of Kliff, thanks for firing him so we could get him in Arizona. Cautiously optimistic, but still excited. Go Cardinals!!! Now draft Butler, and keep Rosen, and I'm happy.

Sorry for going off-topic a bit. Wanted to say that to a Tech fan since January when we hired Kingsbury.
Glad we could help. :D I think Kliff will be a much better NFL coach than college coach. He hated recruiting so he was pretty lazy about it. Not a problem in the pros.

I can't remember liking another non-ISU team as much as I like Tech. Even during the year when they weren't playing us I was a big fan. They play so hard and so well together, and Beard strikes the perfect balance between being a tough coach but not over-the-top, and sure seems like an easy guy to root for.

Rooting hard for them tonight. Will really help the conference to have another champ not named KU.

If Tech wins tonight, that will be a trifecta for the Big 12 in post season tournaments. Texas won the NIT, Baylor women won the women's tournament..

I really don't want them to win. I like Beard but does ISU need another Big 12 school to win a championship?

I honestly think it's good for all schools if Tech wins. If you go so many years without your conference winning it all, other coaches can recruit against that saying Big 12 has no shot. I am not a huge Tech fan. I do like Beard and the players on this team though. They seem like a good group of kids.

Seems like it just makes things more difficult for ISU. Think about the recruits Beard can get if he wins a championship... That's scary. And he doesn't have to go far to get a ton of great recruits in the state.

So jealous that Tech's rise went from lower than ISU was to higher than ISU got, but man win this for the big 12!

I don't think his recruiting will affect ours much. He will recruit the best in Texas and the southeast. We seem to recruit mostly from the midwest area.

I am not talking about head to head battles. I am talking about it being easier for them to get recruits and then in turn easier for them to stay ahead of ISU.

We were trying pretty hard to get Mooney. And Tech is also in on the French kid. Seems we like the same type of player.

Saw some guy who put $1500 on Tech @ 200-1 to win the ncaa tournament turned down a $125,000 offer for his stub.

I don't know, I would be tempted as hell to lock up $125k, rather than leave it to chance. It's a 50/50 game, so the p-value of the ticket is more than $125k, but still...

You could probably do some creative betting to hedge and guarantee yourself $200k somehow. Smarter wiseguys than me can probably figure something.

I would no doubt take the offer, but as my daughter’s bf said, the guy is probably loaded to begin with and just winning means more to him than the money.
