I was trying to get tickets for me and my friends when I realized that I don’t actually understand sessions. Is session 1 Wednesday, session 2 for Thursday and so on? Do I just buy for individual games? Any help would be appreciated. It’s our first time going.

Session 1 is Wednesday. Session 2 is Thursday morning (1130 am and 130 pm games). Session 3 is Thursday night (6 and 8 pm games).

You're going to want Session 2 since ISU is locked into the 1130 am game

Also a tip. If you have lowers, when our game in session 2 is over you may be able to trade an upper deck person seats and make a little money for the second game. It has to be done in the arena.
I’ve done that a few times.

If you just want to buy singles for our games I use tickets for less. It’s a more local like stubhub type site.
I just looked on tickets for less for the 2nd session. Do you think it would be smart to wait and scalp Thursday morning or just buy tickets on there? (They look to be anywhere from 40-60 dollars right now online)

Wait to see if a Kansas team is in the same session as well....the market tends to fall out on tickets for less then as well.

If Kansas State or KU (especially KU) is in the morning session ticket prices will likely be high. I bought 2 lower levels behind the hoop in row 20 (sat in similar seats 2 years ago and the view was great) this morning and paid $72/each with all the fees and taxes. If it's Texas Tech as the 1 and Baylor as the 4 I doubt they would drop much if any and likely will go up if a Kansas team is in that side. I dont know about the upper level tickets - I sat there once and the steepness of the building really messed with me so I only buy lowers there since then.

$72 net for lower level? Want to share the site you found those?

Wouldn't be worried about KState... they are a very distant third in attendance... though hoping TTech can grab the 1 seed and tickets will be pretty easy to find.

Have a few all session tickets in upper deck if anyone is interested please PM.

They aren’t distant third when they are good. If ISU, KU and KSU are playing on Friday it will cost you $150 to get in the door.

I’m probably going to get them now. Scalpers know Iowa State fans pay.
I guess if Tech ends up being the 1 seed and K-State/KU end up the 2 and 3, we could scalp Thursday morning and find some tickets for cheap. Tough decisions.

Eh I'll believe KState shows up when they do.
Friday, semifinal tickets yes.
Not worried about Thursday. Although certainly do prefer Tech for pricing.

Any guesses for what prices would be for tickets Thursday if I scalped?

This works both ways, but more the other way.

Iowa State fans rush the sideline sections when we have the second game in a section. Once upon a time, you could just ask people who are leaving and they would give you their tickets. Now, you are more likely to have to pay for them.

There is a much smaller market for selling your lower level seats to fans of other teams. If K-State plays the second game in the session, as it looks like they will, you might be able to do this, but I wouldn't expect much interest, particularly lower level behind the basket unless they are really low rows.

Depends lower vs upper... Kstate or Tech on the other side.
Wild guess 100/50 w/ KState or 75/30 w/ Tech

I don't think ISU will bring many fans (compared to normal) unless win and play Friday.

Second for Tickets for Less. Plus their pick up point is much closer to Sprint Center/Power and Light than Stub Hubs.

If KSU is #1 seed—Upper Level $30-$60
Lower Level behind basket $75-$100
Lower Level side courts $175-$225

Knock about $10-$15 off those numbers if Tech is #1 seed. Add $50-$60 to those numbers if KSU is the #1 and KU is #4.

I got my tickets for $45 a piece with fees/delivery from seatgeek. Not the best seats in the house, but fine for me and my friends.
