Actually, the 'play hard' chart came from Purdue. It's Gene Keady's, one of the finest coaches ever. Weber respects that tradition and the importance of winning every little phase of the game. That's one reason he's such a fine coach, the details matter.

For the record I have witnessed personally Bruce Weber get his steak well done. Win all the games you want, but eating your steak well done is inexcusable.

Looks like Joe put out a new bracket today. Still has us as a 5 seed in the east but, a more favorable 2nd round game--LSU or Murray State

LOL Nard dog still has KU in the Midwest bracket even though the committee made it VERY clear Saturday that unless KU improves to a 1 seed they won't get slotted the Midwest/Kansas City.

I thought committee chairman said they wouldn't be against putting KU in KC even as a 3 seed, if the overall circumstance warranted. Maybe I misunderstood what he meant.

Based off what they said KU in KC is a really long shot as a 3 seed. They made it pretty clear that the 1 and 2 seeds will be protected. FWIW I expect that to apply to Iowa State as well.

I guess NCAA seeding doesn't matter as much when your path to the Elite Eight consists of beating an 8 seed, 16 seed, then a 5 seed. Well, at least until the pesky 11 seed that keeps you from the Final Four. D'oh!

I get what you're saying. They did switch KU to West due to s-curve balance among top four lines and put Houston in Midwest instead. Kansas was #10 and UH #11.

The segment I referenced begins around 7:45 mark of the selection reveal show

I didn't see the show when it aired and just watched it in the link. It was hilarious how Seth started bloviating on the PAC 12 and how they will get someone else in to which Bernard responded that it will be really, really tough for anyone other than Washington to work themselves into an at large bid because they are all so terrible (70+ NET rankings). Eat it, Seth!
