So, I walk into Bramlage last night 1.5 hours before the game ...

And here's what greets me. Don't tell me Cyclone fans aren't invested. Ha.

It's not unusual to see ISU gear in Manhattan. But at the Ku game and 1.5 hours before tip? I mean, I wonder about myself sometimes, but those two took the cake and ate the whole damn thing. I told them they were a couple weeks early. Laugher. :D

Not exactly sure.
I don't like it. Zero point in wearing Iowa State apparel to a game we're not involved in.

Agree, but will also say that the HS I transferred to my senior year had purple as a color and it is basically the worst color to have as a school color. It just blows, so those folks may have tried it and found it to stink.

Has any Cyclone fan actually told you that they weren't invested? Because judging by the game thread in here, last night, and knowing how closely I watched the game, I'd say we're quite invested.

Yeah, several said Ku would win the game. So, I guess they were invested in a different sort of way. Still, have you ever seen fans of another school in Hilton wearing their colors to a game in which their team wasn't a contestant?

Yes. Frequently. ToE dbags do it all the time. I've seen KU as well. And as a matter of fact, I know a guy getting his masters at ISU who got his undergrad from KState and will sport KState stuff in Hilton.

I was watching Drake @ Loyola Chicago last night and they showed a guy wearing all Loyola gear with a Hawkeye stocking cap.

You realize that we share a state with the Hawkeyes, right? They wear their gear to all kinds of events that they aren't involved in... or invited to, for that matter.

Yes, I have seen Iowa fans attend games in Hilton when they weren't involved. I see it a lot in MLB and the NFL, too. I personally wouldn't do it, but I assume that some people are sports fans and take the opportunity to represent their team, regardless of who's playing. If the people are respectful, I guess I don't really care.
