Denied!! Suck a fat one Jayhawks!!

"In my 30-plus years of coaching college basketball, I have never witnessed such a mean-spirited and vindictive punishment against a young man who did nothing wrong," Kansas coach Bill Self said in a statement. "To take away his opportunity to play college basketball is shameful and a failure of the NCAA.

I agree with Bill, KU should be getting most of the punishment.

Suspended the rest of the season and all of next. That's harsh. Of course the kid is taking the brunt of the punishment. KU will just get another 5 star next season to fill the void.
They already have a Mickey D AA to replace him (McCormick) and he has been a quasi bust so far as has Grimes.

The statements by Self and Long blasting the NCAA's ruling are ridiculous. The kid may have been unaware of the transaction but, of course, Self and Long make no mention of who authorized the transaction which was their biggest sponsor, adidas, and/or Self's staff.

Probably not the only player KU has had that money changed hands for a commitment. The texts that surfaced in the Adidas trial have exposed the corruption that has gone on. I do agree with one thing that maybe KU should have footed more of the punishment than the player in this case.

In regards to Kansas fans complaining about the NCAA, I 100% agree. There are not set guidelines for punishment and it seems like they make it up on a case by case basis. That said, I'm not going to feel too bad for them since their cheating finally caught up to them.
