To be fair, Bill Self IS the victim of whomever sold him that toupee. But KU did nothing wrong. They are a victim in all of this. Just ask Bill Self.

I agree with Bill, KU should be getting most of the punishment.Denied!! Suck a fat one Jayhawks!!
"In my 30-plus years of coaching college basketball, I have never witnessed such a mean-spirited and vindictive punishment against a young man who did nothing wrong," Kansas coach Bill Self said in a statement. "To take away his opportunity to play college basketball is shameful and a failure of the NCAA.
They already have a Mickey D AA to replace him (McCormick) and he has been a quasi bust so far as has Grimes.Suspended the rest of the season and all of next. That's harsh. Of course the kid is taking the brunt of the punishment. KU will just get another 5 star next season to fill the void.
The idea that his guardian actually did it without his knowledge seems unlikely to me.
i agree with this. punish the schools. No way in hell they weren't aware.Probably not the only player KU has had that money changed hands for a commitment. The texts that surfaced in the Adidas trial have exposed the corruption that has gone on. I do agree with one thing that maybe KU should have footed more of the punishment than the player in this case.
