We lost the battle tonight, not the war. We’ll be the NCAA Tournament in March. Iowa will be lucky to be in a play-in game.

My days of the Iowa game being the be-all end-all are over. To win is nice but I'll take strong conference record over a win over these dbags every day of the week.

Right? Iowa would be about 5th in the Big 12 this year, so we have plenty of chances to improve. As terrible as we played, it’s not a bad loss at 75% strength. Don’t forget, Iowa played a guy that was out for the season and a guy who was highly doubtful for the game tonight in Pemsl and Wies-what’s-his-name. Gotta beat Iowa state at all cost anymore

Probably a good lesson for the boys. We are a work in progress but I’ll take that over being Iowa— where your ceiling is absolutely mediocrity. We will struggle at times as we put this together but we will be the better team through the winter.

Sucks losing to the TOE, but the environment was good prep for the conference season for our new comers. Lots of conference road games are going to feature hostile crowds, bad calls, d-bag opponents, physical play, shooting slumps. They need to learn to match the physicality, execute under pressure and keep their cool and tonight provided many growth opportunities in those areas.

Its Iowa's "super bowl" yet our coach threw a tantrum at the end of the game lol... why are we trying to steal the ball in the last 5 seconds unless were trying to instigate? God some of the takes in here are bad. We got out played. We aren't at full strength. Don't need to make this a battle of who cares less. Both teams care a lot. And if Prohm doesn't take this rivarly seriously then he can get tf lost.

Weird game. Win or lose this game would not and does not make the season. Learn from the mistakes, get healthy, and move on.

In other news, the McCaffreys are trash. Fran did this same thing against North Dakota a year or two ago. Just walked off the floor in a rage with no handshake. No class. Shayok and Jacobson shouldn't have taken the bait from little McCaffrey but even so, it was an extreme overreaction from Fran and his team to just run off the floor.
