Getting off to a bit of a late start today, but let's do this. What happens to balloons after people let go of them and they float up into the atmosphere? With the number of balloons in this world, is it kinda weird that we don't find more of them sitting on the ground after they pop or run out of air? Where do they all go?

Does anyone else ever think of the act of clapping as weird? Like I get the idea that we're expressing appreciation, etc. but surely other animals look at us like freaks when they see a crowd of humans giving a round of applause to something.

I had never thought about it until you brought it up but I can definitely see where you're coming from with this. Does anyone know if monkey's clap by nature or would they have to be taught how?

I mean, if you just look from a broad perspective: what does a passing by bird think of a crowd of 7,000 drunk 40, 50, and 60 somethings clapping to the beat of Mr. Roboto at the Iowa State Fair?

They pop and then spread litter everywhere. Seriously. They are causing ecological problems in the wild.

Regarding the plastic in the ocean...Joe Rogan is having a guest on this week where his invention is supposed to pick it up autonymously and he is just a kid. Will post if I remember

I remember when we were kids, they taught us that released balloons and six pack rings were the worst things to ever effect wildlife. The youth today is so under served!

I still militantly clip every single opening in those plastic six pack rings. If I don't I have an image of Robin Williams as Lovelace in Happy Feet running through my head.
