Oh wow. I read recently where he was all but headed to OU, so we were going to have to face him regardless.

I notice Talen Horton-Tucker is not on this list - is that an oversight, or has something changed?

Nallen said he wasn't updating anymore which is a shame because I always liked this thread and next year is the most intriguing for who will be back and who's gone

Damn that sucks he's not doing it anymore but I can't complain. That has to take a ton of time and energy to round up the info. Hopefully someone can pick it up even if the info is super brief.

I found this interesting. 247 is releasing what teams lose/add once their season is over.
OU's outlook off their 1st round NCAA exit. I'll miss watching Trae Young in the Big 12, (not the ESPN Trae Tracker though).

Strangely enough, I think it will be addition by subtraction as Trae sucked all the oxygen out of the room. May take them a while to get their groove back. Almost a lost year as far as development for players not named Trae.

It's official now, not that there was any doubt. I think he had mentally checked out on OU a couple months ago anyway.

I'll be curious to see how the NBA views him. He has range for sure but he needs to get a lot stronger, and his decision making is awful. Plus I'd be worried about some bad habits developed during his one season in Norman.

I'm expecting McGusty to make a big jump and be the best player in Norman next year. They'll likely be projected in the bottom half of the Big 12 but in their case it's tough to predict how things will go.

As expected. Shocka has another one and done center. Doubt it is the last.

@PeteThamel Mo Bamba makes it official that he’s headed to the NBA

I'd throw Jamuni in there, too. He's always slightly reminded me of Niang with his post moves (his turn around hook and use of the glass).

Who else do you think will declare? I hope Azubuike. Maybe Zhaire Smith?

This is a difficult year to decide who will stay in the NBA draft. It is deeper than most years so a lot of players who would normally jump may stay in college.

I think Newman for KU maybe the most likely next to declare and stay in the Draft . He was a possible one and done 5 star originally and is now 3 years out of HS There will be a minutes crunch at KU with a number highly regarded guards eligible fighting for time next year.

I expect Roach/Davis (UT), Zhaire (TT), Konate (WV), Sneed/Stokes (KSU) and Duke (KU) to test the waters.

All could use more development and would benefit from one more year and a less talented class next year. Zahire would be a first rounder on just potential but assuming he comes back one more year and refines his game could go in the lottery. Duke has the size and pedigree to be a first rounder on potential alone but has no outside game and 2 years of injury red flags that will likely scare teams from a guarenteed contract. .

I also wouldn't be surprised if Lard and Wigginton go through the NBA process, but fully expect both back.

I've seen Zahire as high as mid-lottery but most mock drafts don't have him listed as a first-round pick. IDK if he's good enough yet, I do think he should return for one more year.
