I think this is where Harris ends up. They need a PG bad
Not really. They have Makai Mason and Jake Lindsey to back him up.

Well this is a significant loss for Lon Krueger..
Yeah, agree. Loss of two guards really hurts OU for next year. I think maybe kids were unhappy with how Krueger handled the team this year with Young.
Was impressed with McGusty in 2016-17. Didn't seem to improve much this year, but I always attributed it to the Trae Young circus being in town. At any rate, figured he would be a guy for them the next couple yearsI was about to say the same thing. It'd be one thing having a successful year with one player hogging the spotlight, but it's different when you aren't winning a ton of games.
If Shine comes back Averette may have been looking at a similar 20 minutes/gm backup role. He likely knows how the staff plans to use Weathers and goes against him in practice.Hard to believe Averette is transferring. Imagine he would have seen a ton of time next year. They will probably trying to find grad transfers and Jucos to fill out their remaining scholarships.
Oklahoma landed a likely sit out transfer: 6'6" SG Kris Martin. Averaged 13 & 4 his sophomore year at Oral Roberts before transferring to Colorado State and sitting out this past year. Would have to graduate in 3 years at 2 different schools to be eligible next season. Seems unlikely but someone may have more on this than I do.

Shine, Weathers, Waters, plus Dizagwa and Curtis Jones (former top-100 IU transfer) is a decent backcourt, and Ok St was looking to add guards (recruit over) this spring even before the announcement of the transfer.

Where did you see it official on Shine not coming back? On Senior Day his comment was ”it’s up in the air, I really don't know what I want to do right now” and the story on Averette transferring mentioned it’s still unknown. Hopefully he goes, and given he participated in Senior Day one would think it’s likely he’s leaning that way.Shine is not coming back. Good note on Jones, he's not listed on their roster but I see he will be a guy who is eligible mid year next season. Would be odd if Averette leaving was mutual. Oklahoma State is going to struggle mightily next year anyways, would think they'd be trying to hold onto any experienced production they have.
Wonder if he will get some kind of waiver due to the Eustachy situation?

They may be last, but Weathers, Waters, McGriff isn’t a bad core. If they recruit Shine back, plus add a grad transfer this spring like they did in Smith, they’ll beat some people in GIA.
