Anyway, I see places saying that the reason King came back to school was to finish his degree. Wasn't the story that he wanted to come back because he thought the team had NC potential? Then they ended up getting beat by NDSU and getting blown out of another bowl game. What a dumb decision.

King had a great season, no question, but he should go to the NFL and paid at the first chance he gets if he's being called a first rounder before anyone really digs into his numbers this season.

Is he an NFL caliber defender? No question, yes
Did he have a statisically great season? No question, yes
Did Iowa play any great offenses? Maybe one (Indiana was the only school in the top 35 in total offense)
Did Iowa play any great quarterbacks? Maybe one (Cook)
Was the best quarterback Iowa played playing with a serious shoulder injury? Yes

I dont think you read the post I responded to. Someone said King only did well playing agaisnt inferior competition. The fact is Iowa faced more as much NFL talent playing just Michigan and Wisconsin as ISU did vs its 9 Big12 opponents.
