and pizza...I believe that's the student section. And I'm assuming they are going to be giving them yellow shirts for this game.

Have you seen the strength of the Big 12 so far? Our RPI is going to be strong. I do find it funny Jon Miller writes an article calling out people for being dumb to think this team would be good and an "ISU fan" like yourself predicted them to make the tourney. Lol
I've said many times I was wrong, completely wrong, and now I am under the belief that Iowa sucks. I could be wrong about this too, honestly we don't know. Please let this stand for the record so I don't have to type it every time.
As far as the big 12 goes, I started a thread on the Big 12 conference board a few weeks ago about how awesome the big 12 is. I check Sagarin every day and am fully aware he's got the conference #1 by pretty much a long distance.
I think ISU would have a bad loss here, that's why I think it's important. I am skeptical of us beating KU or BU once, as I think they are both very bad matchups for us. IF we lose to Iowa, and IF we get swept by BU and KU and go something like 9-9 in the conference (ALL THINGS THAT ARE POSSIBLE) RPI wizard has us currently at an RPI of 44. If we beat Iowa and everything else stays the same, RPI wizard has our RPI at 33.

Yes, I know it's early. Yes, I know I might be underestimating ISU. Yes, I know that thing isn't perfect yet because not a lot of games have been played. But the fact is that it has a big impact on our potential RPI and seed.
I know you think I'm just trying to impress Iowa fans for some reason, but believe it or not, I think through my position and use the tools I have available to myself. You may disagree with my assessment or methods, but I'm not into polishing the knobs of Iowa fans, I simply like talking college basketball, and quite frankly for some reason CF times out on my all the time from my work computer and it sucks.
How is KU a bad matchup for us? We're not going to go 0-4 against Baylor and Kansas
I think you've chosen the wrong thread for this post. Oh, and **** Iowa...and Iowa apologetics.I've said many times I was wrong, completely wrong, and now I am under the belief that Iowa sucks. This is Iowa's Final 4 and they're ready for it

I think their guards will stop penetration and I have my doubts about our bigs being able to score. We've gone 1-3 against them the last 2 years, and I don't think we are as good as those years. We can agree to disagree.
I get it and I agree that every win/loss makes a difference however at this point you are seeing a win only moving us up 11 spots and that is when that game is 1/9 of our season. There is a lot of row to hoe at this point.I've said many times I was wrong, completely wrong, and now I am under the belief that Iowa sucks. I could be wrong about this too, honestly we don't know. Agreed, beating them does nothing but losing hurts.
Idk, I do not think we are on the bubble, but I do think that losing will hurt.Our seeding. Sounds like you are going off the premise that you think we will be on the bubble?
This is Iowa's Final 4 and they're ready for it
ISU has had ice cold games. Indiana State and Cincy for example. Cincy is a much better defensive team, but it's certainly possible. Naz still ain't right. Massey ratings have ISU with a 66% chance to win, which really would make an Iowa win not entirely unlikely.
That said, this is a game ISU absolutely needs to have. I think they are at genuine risk of not making the tourney if they don't beat Iowa, because they would only have 1 decent win in the noncon. ISU doesn't have a strong noncon like they have in the past.
Is he trying to prop Iowa up as a "decent win"?

Oh my. That may be the line of the year. Smaller/Skinnier version of Uthoff has be a negative thing, but I read it as a positive. It's too bad Ellingson isn't playing in Wiscy so he can develop his body into the imposing presence that Uthoff was/is.![]()

Ellingson looks like a smaller skinnier version of Uthoff. Lohaus looked stronger and faster.
If I were to rank guard play this game, four of UNI's guards would take spots 1-4.
Maybe 54 points isn't much to brag about.
How 'bout a Win?

Exactly, the rumor behind the Genesis of the big four classic was Fran's dislike of the so called homerism occuring in Cedar Falls. Well guess what Fran, UNI rolled that *** on a neutral court tonight with 5+ Iowa kids on the roster, UNI and ISU are the premier basketball programs in the state and its going to be that way for a long time...
saw this on HN. I think that's a correct take.
Whenever I hear the St. Crispin's Day speech, I get tears in my eyes and feel like I can run through a brick wall. This made me flat out cry and makes me feel like I can withstand the worst eye-gouging ever.By Jove, I am not covetous for black and gold,
Nor care I who doth feed upon my cost;
It yearns me not if men my garments wear;
Such outward things dwell not in my desires.
But if it be a sin to covet honour,
I am the most offending soul alive.
No, faith, my coz, wish not a man from Iowa State.
God's peace! I would not lose so great an honour
As one man more methinks would share from me
For the best hope I have. O, do not wish one more!
Rather proclaim it, Westmoreland, through my host,
That he which hath no stomach to this fight,
Let him depart; his passport shall be made,
And crowns for convoy put into his purse;
We would not die in that man's company
That fears his fellowship to die with us.
This day is call'd the feast of **** Iowa.
He that outlives this day, and comes safe home,
Will stand a tip-toe when this day is nam'd,
And rouse him at the phrase of **** Iowa.
He that shall live this day, and see old age,
Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours,
And say "To-morrow is **** Iowa Day."
Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars,
And say "These wounds I had on **** Iowa day."
Old men forget; yet all shall be forgot,
But he'll remember, with advantages,
What feats he did that day. Then shall our names,
Familiar in his mouth as household words—
Harry the King, Gr8 and KC,
GTO and Velo, Boxster and BC, Train and Pants, Lawman, WxMan, Chaser, and Cooler, Carvers, CG, Erik, Revkah, Woo and WDSM,NWICY, jcyclone, hiphop, RULZZZ—
Be in their flowing cups freshly rememb'red.
This story shall the good man teach his son;
And **** Iowa Day shall ne'er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered-
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon **** Iowa day.
