Haha. You gotta admit, 5 top-10 finishes in 15 years is pretty solid.

Not when three of them happened over a decade ago. You have to admit one top 25 finish in the last 6 years is not solid at all

Part of our problem I think is that we were consistently there but never great. If my understanding of history is correct our good teams weren't necessarily ranked and our bad teams weren't 0-12 or whatever it would be for that period. That isn't caught well in this method.

And yet.... we've beaten Iowa more times since KF has been coach than they have beaten us. Only reinforces the fact that Iowa's ranking over the years has been inflated due to playing horrible schedules.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we should be higher than Iowa.... far from it. We should probably be in the upper 70's or so, but Iowa should be in the 30's or 40's IMO. Iowa went 12-0 playing hardly anyone last year, then finished 0-2 against better competition than they played all year and stayed in the top 10.

Yeah but you guys talk about how KF has a losing record against ISU all the time. Four of his losses came 1999-2002, and five came over a decade ago. Since then KF is 6-4 against ISU. Looks like he actually has a .600 winning % against you guys if everything from way back then is irrelevant. Sweet.

I take it these Hok trolls have nowhere else to go and are just setting up home here on CF? They must be banned from HN and HR (can't blame them for getting rid of the dumbest posters over there). We need a wall.

So this is a list ranking programs all time, which has nothing to do with how a coach fares against a rival program. I can see where your confusion is though.

You're partially to blame/thank for there being better hawk talk here than at millers cesspool.

Can I make a confession?

This entire time I thought Split's avatar was Mayhem from the insurance commercials, until the site change where I can click on them to enlarge while on my phone.

Id give them top 30 prob but no way ahead of BYU or even Colorado. Can't put them ahead of teams that won National Titles IMO

This exactly. I dont care if the title was in 1896... National Title is National Title. And if some random guy puts that your the national champion in the 1920s and everyone else picks a different team... that doesnt count
