Both fanbases in this thread are being pathetic. The Cubs are good this year and will likely end up with the best record in baseball. Good for them.

The Cardinals might eventually find some consistency like they always seem to do and contend for a wild card spot. Good for them.

I'm honestly considering starting a Cardinals/Cubs hate thread just so we can have a designated place for everyone to talk trash. I come in here wanting thoughts and opinions about the Cardinals and all I find is pages of bickering and insults from both sides that got old years ago.

You realize where you are? If there are two fanbases that can totally relate to each other its Cub fans and ISU fans, you get a fan of both and you are going to get some venom coming at you when they finally have success. Cub fans have been crawling out of the woodwork the last year, typically when you have fans jumping back on the bandwagon, you are going to get some of the worst examples of that fanbase. That's what we see from Cub fans these days. As a lifelong Cards fan I can tell you, we've always been arrogant, especially when it comes to the Cubs and especially when they Cubs are good.

I'm also a lifelong Cards fan, but just because something's "always been that way" doesn't mean it's the best way.

I absolutely realize the situation. I'm just tired of it happening in a thread where I expect discussion about the St. Louis Cardinals. Not Cards/Cubs hissy fights.

Heyward must have hit a hot streak. I didn't realize he'd broken the Mendoza line.

Seriously though, I'm glad he's ok after that collision with the wall yesterday. It was a helluva play but could've been a bad deal. There's no debating he's an elite defender.

Cubs will win Wednesday, and Ill be just fine with a split tonight and tomorrow night. Wainwrights last start was promising, but he has been pretty bad so far this year. Ill say the Cubs lose a close one tonight, win a close one tomorrow, and win big Wednesday afternoon.
