Randy Peterson was quoting Mike Warren's dad about wanting Mike to finish school even if he had a 2000 yard season. There is plenty of reason to criticize RP, but this was not bias or fluff. It was just quoting a really good source.

Wrong. Warren's dad was contacted by Peterson for the story, which according to the article, was the product of RP watching the draft. Warren's dad doesn't mention 2,000 yards and is probably simply answering RP's questions.

I love the line, "Warren isn't on any 2017 mock drafts." Yet leave it to Randy to daydream about the possibility and consider it worthy of publication. 2000 yards? Sure, throw that in there too. Oh, and then projecting Tucker as a surefire draft pick. It's ISU fluff, plain and simple.

I don't recall iowa's offense being much like Iowa State's this year; but I didn't see many of iowa's late season games, I guess.
