all that matters is football. So TCU has more to offer right now than ISU does.

In what context?

If we're talking about the demise of the Big 12 and musical chairs start...TCU won't be in the B1G or Pac. Never. ISU can at least make a case which includes the university and the AD.

Take a look at Baylor's attendance for the majority of their time in the Big 12. Or KU's. Or TCU's. And CSU is building a brand new stadium.

Please don't tell me you are using "pro sports fans and tons of Husker fans" as real reasoning. CSU brings more to the table than Iowa State does (mostly due to the Denver market).

Denver really doesn't care about Colorado State. Denver cares about the Denver Broncos. Mayor of Denver didn't even know the Colorado State Football Coach's name when he presented a trophy for Colorado State beating Colorado.

If CSU was told by the Big12 to expand their new stadium to 50+ and they would get to be in the conference, they would probably do it in a heartbeat.

Wouldn't take much to get above 50k. Simply extending the upper deck across the endzone would probably put them above 50K.

If Texas wanted to join the Pac 12 and take the 3 other Texas schools with them, TCU would be in the Pac 12

No; those two will end up joining the Confederacy. Pac 12 will take all four Texas schools, Nebraska will successfully lobby for the Kansas schools to join the B1G, and the ACC will add UCONN & the Mountaineers. Yay for super conferences.

I'd prefer the AAC over the MAC.

No way K-State would get into the Big 10, they would be out with us, I would just go ahead and join the Mtn West, better road trips

If it all falls apart, I'd guess K-State and Ku head to the Pac with UT and Tech. OU and oSu go to the SEC. Under that scenario, ISU ends up in the BIG, where it's always belonged (according to Bob Knight).

NYC doesn't care about Rutgers. But that didn't stop the Big 10.

For the 10th time, expansion isn't about fan support or recent winning teams...its about eyeballs, its about markets, its about university fit, its about facilities.

New teams for BIG 12

Im thinking that Memphis, Houston, and Colorado State would be a good fit. BYU would be a long *** haul for West Virginia. Thoughts ?

Colorado State is like adding water to your beer.

You couldn't be more wrong. Do you remember a school that use to be in the big 12 that dominates the college football market in denver? have you been to denver recently? do you know the distance between foco to denver? There are probably as many hawkeye fans in Denver than CSU. I don't know the statics but there are a TON of non-colorado natives and while living there if I asked someone where they were from less than 10% said colorado.

Re: New teams for BIG 12

Here is my Bold prediction. The Big 12 and SEC will merge into a 24 team conference and form a east/west division with the winners to play each other. Boom

There will never be four Texas schools in the Pac. Texas would bring one, probably Tech now that aTm is in the SEC.

And the Pac presidents would hold their noses for Tech to get UT.

BYU would be way to far for West Virginia. I thinking that Houston, Memphis, Colorado State, or Cincy would be the best.

And we're not certain at this moment what the criteria are. You're right, the B1G added NYC and DC/Baltimore not RU and UMD. At the time that's what they were after.
