Way up there
Having Bowie and another scrappy, athletic guy coming off the bench would be a nice compliment to a smaller lineup with Malou being the 5.

He played 39 minutes last year

I'm with you. Seems he plays the same position as Bowie as well who is also a grad transfer. Many better options we are still in on, this seems like a head scratcher to me. Better than nothing but doesn't make sense unless the staff is confident in Carter/Young/Malou/Ernst playing the 5 exclusively. Not sure I am.

Not of this World
Maybe in 2017-18 and beyond but I don't know how much you can count on them next year. Carter looked pretty far off. He barely played and Ernst redshirted in a year where we could have used an extra 8-10 min/game role player.

I would not bet my raise on those two.

Due to not being fully recovered from his ACL injury. RS or no RS, he wasn't going to contribute 8-10 min last year due to that injury.

Bowie seems to be a better version of him.

I'd like a guy with size that can rebound and defend

I think he is capable of both of those things. Since nobody we are going after seems to be who you want could you name the guy you would like us to get?
