I like the shot he took from (what seemed like) half court. It was a miss but he took it with confidence. He is playing at a very high level.

To be fair, in his first year that was pretty true. Though it's pretty true for most freshman I guess. I think people had some outsized expectations since he was such a great shooter in high school. He had a lot of trouble switching from playing zone in HS to man Dl, but he's been awesome on D this year. He really started to turn the corner last year, just couldn't get a consistent performance from him. He's definitely flipped the switch this year though with more than a few good games to start the season. Hope he's all nails from here on out, cause we could use some consistent 3 point threat with Naz out. I think Naz's injury will give him some time to shine.

I agree that some here were way too hard on the guy in the past though.

We can see why Fred wanted Matt, Georges, and Monte really badly. Love Matt with his confidence.
